The owner was very professional from answering all the questions I had by direct message on Instagram to even greeting me when I came in. I had my knotless braids done by Fatima who braided very fast and neat. She had very good energy, very personable and is very gentle with your hair. I would definitely come back and request Fatima or the owner the do my hair again.

I took my wife to get her hair done at @longislandbraiding for the first time today. The staff was outstanding and very fast. They even have wifi so I could edit photos on my computer while my queen was taken care of.Thank you so much and we will be back again.

Update: came here again end of May 2022 for regular box braids. Went back two days later because at least 10 braids were messed up. They redid some of them but not all. I feel like the service was better a couple of years ago and for the price they’re charging now it’s not that great.

I got my braids renewed here once and it was fine, the girl was nice and didn’t overcharge me. I went for another renewal a few weeks later and only one woman was there and was extremely rude and tried charging me $120 for a RENEWAL. She said rude things in French right in front of me about me on the phone (yes I speak it) and was just so disrespectful I got up and left. Very unprofessional. Shame…it’s the closest salon to me and this place is nice but a lot of the staff is rude. No thanks

I went here for the first time and came in at 12:00 pm and did not get my hair braided until 9:pm The lady’s were RUDE and she skipped me for about 4 other people and I finish at 10pm.. I don’t recommend the this place and I’m sorry if I’m TALKING like a Karen it’s just theses people annoy me and also there was about 3 different lady’s checking if my parts was good and kept telling to get off my phone…. Worst hair braiding salon I’ve been to. They were 45 minutes late to open. I arrived at 9:30 because that’s when the owner said they would arrive and the place didn’t open until after 10:15. They attempted to change the price after they already communicated a lower price. The energy of the stylists was very negative and disrespectful. Hair came out ok and it lasts. Did a great job on my daughter’s hair. Had her looking vacation ready!☺ Bonus that they sell the Dr. Bonners and Shea Butter body soaps. Also the location is great! I was able to go to Walmart, do laundry and eat at Wings N Things while my daughter got her hair done! all less than 10 minutes away!!
