This experience wouldn’t have been worth $40. I so wanted to trust Mona and believe that a $110 haircut and style would be worth it (I have shoulder length curly hair), but it was a huge waste of money. The haircut ended up have to be fixed in one area after the appointment, and the “styling” consisted of having one product added and then separating each curl so I looked like a frizz ball. I was then told “this is just how your hair is”. Huge waste of money. Find somewhere else.

So this is the most expensive haircut I have ever gotten and it was worth every penny. When Taylor Helen said she was going to cut it so it looked good no matter where I parted it I assumed that meant under good conditions. I was so wrong. This haircut looks good no matter what. Incredible! I’m very picky about who I let cut and color my curls. This place was recommended by a very close friend of mine and it did not disappoint! Mona and her assistant took the time to decide a color and then created a beautiful new style. The cherry on top is that she was able to style my curls in a way that left me feeling gorgeous. In my experience, I typically get my hair done and then quickly put it in a pony tail, because salons don’t know the trick to curly hair. Mona and her team have it down to an art. Can’t wait to book my next appointment, such a fun experience!

I went there for a balayage and a curly haircut. Mona did a great job with the haircut! She did exactly what I wanted. But the problem is the balayage. It looked very nice when it was wet/damp but once it dried up completely, you can still see strands of my old highlighted hair. Also some of the streaks of the balayage goes so close to my roots than the others which doesn’t look that flattering. I think Mona could’ve done a better job making sure that the color covers the old highlighted strands completely.

I love lofty! Carmen is a highly skilled colorist, the red she does on my hair is gorgeous. I also have curly hair, Mona is the curl whisper. I usually just tell you to do what she wants with the cut, she knows exactly how to get the curls to behave. I’ve never loved my curly hair like I do now! The salon has a very relaxed atmosphere and all the staff and friend.

I have never had my hair cut by a person who was an expert in curly hair. I have always gone to the same salon and stylist who just became used to my hair. When I moved years ago, I refused to get my hair cut unless it was absolutely needed. After two years of no luck, I finally found Mona. She was amazing to work with this past week and knew what my longgg curly hair needed: a good cut and different products. Instead of trying to sell me products for profit, she gave me advise and suggestions, reassuring me that everything she puts on the shelves actually works for curly hair. I trusted her and bought everything she suggested. I could not be happier! My hair has felt and looked amazing this past week and I am grateful for the staff at Lofty for giving me such a wonderful experience.

If you have curly hair you must make an appointment with Mona Harb owner of Lofty Salon and Spa! She truly is a curlyologist. She really understands curly hair and every one of her cuts celebrates your curls. There is no more fussing or struggling to get the curls to fall right, with Mona’s styling the curls fall perfectly! Every cut I have had has been slightly different and everyone of them has been fabulous!
