My first time in Lloyd’s, but it won’t be my last. I’ve now found a barber shop that is not only very friendly, but actually performs a wonderful haircut! Lots of older gentlmen in there, and it was a blast to listen to them. My kind of people. My hair has always proven difficult for most barbers to cut properly due the high number of calics. Lloyd didn’t have any issues at all, expertly cutting. I did take a few good natured comments about them, though!

Great barber and gentleman, he recently changed his hours to Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 8am-5pm. He works with his customers to the last detail to give customers the haircut they want. He informed me that he prefers appointments, rather than how he used to do pure walk-ins, but he’ll never turn a customer down!

Lloyd’s is one of those “traditional” barber shops, where you just walk in. No appointments, no problem. Assuming he hasn’t gone fishing, Lloyd will work you in eventually. Sure you may have to wait, but that’s half the fun! If you just slow down, and relax, it won’t be long before you are engaged in an upbeat, sometimes spirited conversation, about sports, politics, the weather, or what have you. You’ll be laughing and talking to strangers as if you’ve known them all your life. Lloyd’s is just a real friendly place, where you can get a great haircut and/or a shave, plus catch up on all the latest “hot topics” that have to do with New Bern and the local area. Reasonably-priced, always clean, and conveniently located on Trent Road, near Carolina Bagel.
