Milka is the best. I had cancer and lost my hair and as it was growing I start getting braids and after a three year term of cancer free. I started going to Milka and she has done an awesome job of keeping my hair healthy and growing it. I have NEVER walked out of there not feeling good about myself nor my hair.

This is my husbands email because I do not have google BUT, I actually do like the place, however I do feel like because they do sooooooo much talking that sometimes I don’t think they realize they could’ve been done a while ago. I was in there on a Wednesday for literally 3 1/2 hours and there was 2 people ahead of me, Even when I come in on Saturday I am not in there that long. I wouldn’t mind the talking if it was being work done at the same time but all the stopping and talking is too much, Also while getting my hair shampooed I’d rather not have someone screaming to the top of there lungs to talk to someone thats inches away. Women take the hair salon like a place of “me time” and to relax but that’s very hard to do in this place. Sandra is excellent but everyone else should probably cut back a little on so much talking if they can’t talk and work at the same time.

I don’t know why my review was deleted but I will gladly type it out again. I have been coming here for over TEN YEARS SINCE I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL. Last couple of times I’ve been coming, they have been just making me feel awful about my hair telling me it’s damaged every chance they get, but not offering any real advice on how to treat it. I came in yesterday morning with a freshly taken out quickweave. Everyone whom knows African American hair knows it’s prone to tangling once the water touches those weeks* old braids. The woman shampooing my hair kept sighing, taking deep breaths saying “Ay dios mio” which translates to “Oh my God.” She made me feel so bad I apologized to which she replied “Don’t be sorry….it’s *your hair.” What does that even mean?? She also kept talking to the receptionist about me as she was struggling to detangle, saying “Mira, mira,” to her as she stopped what she was doing. Mira is Spanish for LOOK. So you two were obviously talking about ME / my hair the entire time she was washing / detangling which is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL / RUDE. I sat through the entire experience feeling ashamed / embarrassed which no woman should ever leave feeling that way. Then you thought you were going to get a TIP?! Sweetie, the tip is stop talking about your clients in your chair because you never know who can understand your native tongue. Lost a customer of over 10 years.

I have been coming here for years and have never had to wait longer than three hours even when they were super busy. I arrived at noon today thinking that would give me enough time to get my hair done before I had to work at 6. Five hours later and I was still waiting. They only had one person working the entire day with at least 10 clients. There’s no reason for this one woman to service all the customers by herself. They need to hire more staff because now I am stuck here, late for work because of a service that should’ve only taken two hours. I can’t just leave because my hair is still in rollers. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and unfortunately will be looking for a new hair salon moving forward.
