Update: I have learned from two hairdressers that many Dominican shops put a little relaxer in the conditioner to help loosen black people’s hair to help get it bone straight (allegedly). That is so odd, because that is not what I wanted, I wanted a wash and go, not a wash and straight. These people suck! Attention all black people, DO NOT GO HERE!

I went to get a blowout since my normal stylist was booked and it was the worst decision I’ve ever made. My hair is falling out, the curl pattern is burned away and I feel like I may even have relaxer in my hair!! Please if you are a natural, do not go here!! So my daughter and I have been coming here for over 6 year. Vera is our stylist. She knows exactly how to do my hair without me saying one word. Well two weeks ago I come in and they say “Vera no longer works here” I said ok I’ll give a new person a try” OMG IM NEVER COMING BACK UNLESS THEY BRING VERA BACK. The older lady was so rough on my hair, burning my scalp and pinned curled my hair so tight that the curls never fell like when Vera does it. Im so disappointed. I didnt even want to leave a tip and she most definitely wont be touching my daughters hair. Not to mention she was rushing through the process ugh I hate it

Indifferent. I don’t think they understand the deference between ethnic hairs. I would not go there for straightening. I did the roller set and flat iron curls. Mine lasted about 3 days. My regular Dominican salon have mine last for more than a month, super straight throughout. The secret is the number of passes when straightening before the curls

I’ve been getting my hair done here for the last 2 years I have shaved it off 4 years ago I love this place they’re always polite they are busy though so come early in the morning. They do a great wash I typically only get a wash and set or Dominican blow out as they say and I believe the price is $35 I’ve got an other things down there for me my daughters also no complaints if I move from this area I will drive back to the salon just to go to them.
