Liquid Hair Salon was built from the ground up for one reason to do it, and do it right. Our attitude and passion for hair shows in everything we do, because we truly love our chosen craft. The level of stylist is based on a two key factors: years of experience and skillset. Every artist at Liquid is required to undergo rigorous technical training to become a Liquid stylist and is required to continually attend classes in order to ensure they stay informed on the newest techniques, trends, and products. Lilly Distelcamp (owner, master stylist, makeup artist) is the owner of the wildly successful Liquid Hair Salon and a lead stylist for Aveda at Paris Fashion. Contact us for more information.

Love this salon. I’ve been going to Liquid since it opened in East Brunswick back over ten years ago. The salon is trendy, the staff is friendly and Lilly (the owner) has more energy than anybody I know. She stays current on the latest trends, keeps customers laughing, keeps my hair healthy and is always teaching new assistants the best techniques. I always feel confident knowing Lily will be honest with me and do what’s best for my hair.

As soon as I stepped in, I was welcomed by a kind receptionist who led me to my stylist Joey. Joey himself, who was not only educated, friendly (and literally perfect), gave me a helping hand through every step. I came in to revive my red hair gone dull and he did just that. With a beautiful blowout and curls. 10/10. I cannot wait to come back not just for the service but for the people (AKA Joey!!). Love this place.

I love my new haircut!!! Tiff. did an amazing job shaping and reviving my very dry hair. Before my visit, I was very frustrated by my dead ends and boring hair. She was very patient and educated me on better care habits and how to care for my hair to the level of my preference. She took the time to listen to my concerns and how I usually style my hair and how I don’t highly maintain my hair. She explained every step and made sure I understood and was content with her styling. I will surely be coming back and definitely recommend her and liquid salon. Such a great experiment and atmosphere to be in.

I was referred to Liquid salon by my coworker who also has very thick hair like mine and we both found it so hard to find a good stylist to cut thick hair how we wanted. I always use Alyssa and she is amazing!! She understands how tight money can be and never pushes me to do extra services. She listens and explains things really well! The whole staff is great. They offer me a beverage right when I walk in, are always complimentary, and helpful to each other. Im so happy I found a great place to go!

Liquid hair salon is the best hair salon I’ve been to (and I have been to many between NY and NJ)! Tiffany is my go to stylist for cut, color, and blowouts. She does an outstanding job every single time. She did my balayage so perfectly, I’m obsessed with the color! It’s the first time I actually felt that a stylist got my color perfectly. On top of all that, She has an amazing personality and great energy. You can tell she truly loves her job. I love the environment at liquid hair salon. First off, the finished product of my hair was love at first sight— i’m still obsessed, my bed head never looked so good! Alyssa, from beginning to end, was everything when it came to listening, educating, and delivering! A salon to understand the individuality of your hair is so key and for someone with majorly thick and heavy hair, it was so important for me to find someone who was willing to give me the style I wanted correctly, and not just the easy way out. (It’s so easy for stylists to give up on my hair, but Liquid gave nothing but love to her!) So much talent in one space and it really is such a luxury.

I have been coming to this salon for almost 2 years now and I always go to Marilyn. She always carefully listens to what I want done and somehow my hair always looks BETTER than what I expect. I have gotten multiple services done by her, including haircuts, blowouts, and glazes, and can honestly say I have never went home disappointed. Since moving to Long Island, NY, I still travel to New Jersey for her to do my hair, since she is the only person I trust. Not only is she a wonderful stylist, but a fun and caring person to get to know as well!
