Lions Mane Barbershop is fine if your looking for a standard men’s haircut; roughly equivalent to the quality you would get a great clips, served with a side of machismo. Their prices are slightly above average, and the service and hospitality I received were above average, but the quality of cut that I received was well below average. I went back in a few days later to have some corrections made, but things got worse. I was clear about what I wanted – I showed the barber a picture, and gave explicit instructions, but I will be left wearing a hat for a few weeks until this cut grows out.

The cuts of the people before me came out nice and the barbers seemed really friendly, but they don’t know how to cut curly hair. I walked in with hair around 3.5 inches long (loose-curl fro) and asked for shorter sides and a little off the top (expecting an inch or 1.5″ to be removed). Top came out way shorter than I expected and uneven, and when I returned to have it fixed, they cut it all even shorter.
