Full disclosure: I’ve known the owner for 30+ years. I also have a 4 year old that has been able to experience this salon twice. I cannot believe the amount of pampering and extras that she was able to enjoy. They totally caterered to my little girl, and made her feel comfortable and special. I can’t recommend the value of the service enough. It’s also a great storefront. The last time we went Ashley was her stylist. She was so kind and friendly. Thank you Lion Salon.

Would not recommend this business. I would like to add to my daughters comment and her experience with your Salon. I feel after speaking with your Manager I have come to the conclusion that she is very unprofessional and lacks people skills. As I was trying to speak she continued to speak over me the entire conversation then hung up on me. When my daughter booked her appointment she scheduled an appointment with a stylist a friend had referred her to. If a client is new to a Salon I believe the business should make the client aware of the different levels of stylist and not have hidden fees. I blame the stylist for not listening to my daughters request of only wanting to spend $150. I am not speaking for my daughter but am backing up my daughter due to being scammed due to the stylist adding services without confirming with my daughter first. Very unprofessional.

I would not recommend. I went to my appointment stating I wanted to stay around 150ish being a hard working mom of 2. The stylist asked what I meant by 150ish I stated like 150ish dollars she snickered and continued to do my hair. Throughout the process never told me she was doing treatments to my hair or that adding an extra color was going to make the price go up. In the end I was charged 250 dollars which I absolutely did not have. So here am out 100 dollars I was supposed to use on gas and food.

I have been going to Lion Salon for over 3 years, as the years went by it was harder for me to get an appointment. The person I saw was either booked up, they cancelled on me, or I was extremely ill and not able to make it. Due to her schedule being so full I was asked to try someone else. I asked for a haircut, and it turned out to be not what I had in mind. It was not bad looking we just didn’t see eye to eye. Time went by I let me hair grow out and waited for my normal person. I went in this past weekend; everything was going fine (or at least I thought). She asked me how I wanted my hair cut, I tried to explain not like it was the last time I was here. These were my words “the last time he cut my bangs he cut too much and started to put layers in. I want more of a wispier bang” Apparently that hairstylist heard it and took it personally, because he was the only male stylist at the time. About 3 days later I received an email saying that I publicly shamed the hairstylist, and that I was not allowed to be a guest anymore. If I had any questions to contact the general manager. Well to my surprise I did, she explained that they are all a creative bunch and that they take things personally. I apologized if I offended anyone and that it was not my intention to shame anyone. All she could say is the owner wants to protect her staff’s mental wellbeing. What about the client; we are the ones that if something goes wrong has to live with it until it can either grow out or get it fixed. A usual appointment for me is in the range of 250-300 dollars each time. I have a lot of hair and its curly which makes somethings difficult. If you are a type of person that has a simple hair cut, style, or one that will never question then this is the place for you. However, be aware that if anything goes wrong you will be asked not to return.

One daughter of mine made an appointment for her younger sister at this salon. This daughter gave the salon all the contact information for her younger sibling. This older daughter would get text messages for appointments. My younger daughter didn’t. This appointment was for an up do for prom. My younger daughter sent the stylist an email about what she wanted. My younger daughter never received an answer to that email. When my younger daughter got to the salon the receptionist told her that she missed her appointment. Now my younger daughter never received a text about her appointment. The stylist never responded to my younger daughter’s email. Their communication is at best poor. Their customer service is nonexistent. I called to complain. They didn’t offer any kind of solution, or even an apology. All I got was a lot of excuses. Thankfully I knew someone else who did my daughter’s hair at the last minute. I’ve waited a long time to write this review because I was livid at the time. It was only after my older daughter stepped in before they offered to squeeze my younger daughter by then I had my younger daughter at the other salon.
