LINDSAY JILTED US IN OUR MOMENT OF NEED. We hired Lindsay as a labor doula for our child due December 20th, 2014. I went into labor on my due date, at 12:45 am, and stayed home (with no assistance from Lindsay) until about noon. She met us at the hospital where I was taken to triage, and stayed with us for about an hour. As they prepared to transfer me to labor and delivery, Lindsay said she was going to run home for a change of clothes and a bite to eat, and would be back within an hour. SHE NEVER CAME BACK. She texted that she needed to make an appearance at her mom’s Christmas party, and later in the evening that her husband was not supporting her leaving, and then we never heard from her again. We texted throughout labor, my husband tried to get in touch with her a couple times after we left the hospital, and she never responded. She now leaves “doula” off her website and facebook page, but she hints at her services as a labor doula, and I’ve seen her mentioned as a doula a couple times recently, so I think she still practices, just doesn’t write “I AM A DOULA” for fear of hearing from people like me. Notice, of the two other reviews, one (the only five star review) is from Lindsay Burgett. THAT’S HER. Rindler is her maiden name, I think. On her facebook profile, she lists both names. So she’s listed as Rindler on google so people she’s flaked on can’t find her, but then reviews herself as Burgett to raise her low ratings. Yyyyyyyyikes!!! That’s highly unethical!!!! Please don’t give her your business, and DEFINITELY don’t rely on her! BEWARE!!!!
