Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityOverall: this place was nice, and the people working there were very friendly. However, for the price we paid, we felt it was way overpriced, and left feeling a little ripped off. The ambiance in this place could use a lot of work, and if they plan on charging these prices, they either need to offer better quality services or reduce their prices to stay competitive.My husband and I made an appointment for a 90-min couple’s massage + a 30-min add-on body scrub. The total came down to $420, not including the tip. We thought this sounded pretty pricey, but figured if the quality of the massage and ambiance were good enough, maybe it would be worth it. Unfortunately, this was not the case.Ambiance-wise, a lot was off. The room we had our massage in was tiny, and the masseuses were struggling to get around the room without bumping into things, each other, or us. They had a chair they were moving around in that was constantly running into things and was very loud. The lights were bright, and the room smelled very strongly of a cheap/chemical bubblegum scent. The decoration was fine, I guess….? I was expecting the experience to feel a lot more luxurious given the price.They started off with the body scrub first, which felt odd because they had to constantly towel us off to get the scrub stuff off, and it made a huge mess. It got to the point where they had to ask us to get off the table, so they could change the sheets, which felt a little weird considering we were both just standing there in our underwear waiting for them to redress the mattresses (all in a tiny room with barely any space for standing).The masseuses also kept either talking with each other or sometimes just leaving the room for minutes at a time, with no warning or even a heads-up as to why they were leaving. When they would come back in, they loudly burst through the door, which definitely didn’t help keep us calm and relaxed.Although this sounds like a lot of negative points, I want to re-iterate that this massage was not bad by any means, and the workers were all very friendly. My main thing is that for those prices, I just expected a LOT more in terms of quality of the experience and service. There are a lot of massage options in Chicago, and for this price you could easily find a much higher quality place.EDIT: Look at the response the owner left for this review. She does this to every review they get that isn’t a 5 star, and resorted to personal attacks.
