BEWARE!! This business in Bowie, MD, now tries to ripoff its clients. This wasn’t the case the first time my girls went to this shop, but yesterday was a totally different experience. My daughter contacted the shop by Instagram as instructed on their posters to confirm the box braids style, the price, and to make the appointment. The style and a price of $180 were confirmed, but she was told she had to make her appointment on line. I made the appointment for her and paid the required $25 deposit. When it was time to pay after the service, the shop made my daughter pay the full $180 eventhough I had already paid the $25 deposit. They insisted that the $25 was their tip!! I’ve never heard of such and don’t appreciate the sneaky upcharge! Paypal has received numerous complaints, will hopefully get my $25 back, and is considering dropping this shop from its services. To add insult to injury, we drove about 40 mins (arriving 10 mins early) for my daughter’s 10am appointment which then didn’t even start until 11:15am. Needless to say, this family of four natural-hair ladies we’ll never patronize this shop again.
