Melissa does an excellent job with blond hair. She is very talented. The salon has recently had price increases which I wish I would have been informed about prior to my visit. I paid $321.00 for a full highlight and hair trim. This is out of my budget but I couldn’t cancel at this point without being charged the cancelation fee. I love Aveda products and may consider returning to another more affordable colorist.

I have been a client at Life Aveda for a couple years now and they have been nothing short of amazing each time. I’ve been with both Jr and Master stylists for multiple services and have never been let down! Misook Lee has literally transformed my life though and given me confidence back with her skills and knowledge. She cares about the journey and health of your hair (and me) and has guided me on how to take care of my hair. Ive never received this level of care and consideration at a salon, and that’s why I’ll keep coming back! 🙂

I was a client here for over a year. I got haircuts and color, facials, peels and purchased many products. When my awesome stylist had to leave for an emergency, they called to reschedule me. I was fine with that, but on me, I didn’t realize it was for half an hour earlier than the original time. I was getting ready to leave for the appointment and got a text that I was late and if I wasn’t almost there, my appointment would be cancelled. I texted that I was so sorry and would be right over. I live right up the hill. As I was driving over, I got a text that my appointment was canceled. I was really bummed and although I understood, I was disappointed because I felt like I was always flexible if they were running late or needed a schedule change. At that time, I realized that in fact the time was changed and that I didn’t realize the time was changed when they rescheduled me. Later that morning, I was charged $60 for missing the appointment. Technically, I am sure that was allowed, but given that I’ve been a good, regular customer who is normally early for appointments and only canceled once when I was literally in the hospital, I felt the message was loud and clear: we don’t care about the individual situation, we will take your $60 with no exceptions. I am really sad to leave this review. I have loved my stylist and the skin care services and have always enjoyed the atmosphere at the salon. This is a great salon, but just beware, their policies are totally inflexible.

This time she suggested we go warmer with my highlights, and the first thing I noticed when she was done drying my hair is that the color was absolutely SEAMLESS. I loved every single thing about this salon! Right when you walk in and go to the desk you are offered water or tea. The stylists are all amazing, friendly, and helpful throughout your experience. The salon itself is so cozy, with big, cushioned chairs in both the hair washing station and the styling station. I got my hair done by both Mitsook and Skylar, who both took their time and did amazing work, while keeping me updated the entire process. I could tell both stylists were insanely talented and they always made sure my comfort was priority. My blonde root touchup came out better than I even knew possible, while both stylists looked out for the health of my hair as well. Could not recommend this place enough!

My gf wanted a haircut so I went with her. We booked with a master stylist and the lady was very condescending to us throughout the whole appointment. She kept asking me if I needed a haircut because mine wasn’t good. (My pronouns are they/them and I present very masculine) she told me multiple times I needed a more feminine haircut when I actually just cut mine to be more masculine. I wasn’t the one with an appointment and when my gf told her what she wanted, the stylist felt that she knew better and went against some of her wishes to “make the cut more feminine.” Femininity is not what we wanted and we tried to make that clear. Would go back to the salon but never to that stylist again.

Had an excellent experience with Skylar. Started with consultation with what my hair goals are. Very knowledgeable on what my hair needs were. Exeptional color and cut. Received several compliments after leaving salon. The salon also has an upscale feel and “extras ” that give an overall nice experience. Very nice and professional staff and a very welcoming feeling in the salon.

I wanted to update my experience with Life Aveda. Alex no longer works at this salon and I needed to find a new stylist. I have worked with both Allison and Sarah and I can’t say enough positive. Allison is so creative and Sarah blows me out of the water with her knowledge of curly hair. I love coming in and talking to Jen, too. She gives great advice on products and also which stylist would be best for your hair. I still highly recommend this salon.
