Positive: ValueNamed after her daughter, the owner of Lexy’s Hair Salon is actually Choon, a Korean American who’s been cutting hair for over 30 years. Today (just walked in with no appt), she spent an hour consulting with me about my hair coloring/highlighting woes (results from my last 2 botched hair colorings) wanting to figure out exactly what I was seeking. She is extremely knowledgeable about hair and is determined to deliver exactly what you are going for. I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks! If you’re looking for an unassuming salon that delivers quality results at affordable prices, this is the place. I’ve been to spas where they try to upsell you with additional conditioners and glazes and hair products galore. And the last spa I went to gave me copper balayage highlights when I specifically had said that’s not what I wanted AND my grays were still showing through!) First it’s local. The owner is pleasant and very knowledgeable about hair and if you have a question as to why or what’s the best or maybe a change–you can talk with her while in the chair. No need for separate consult to upsell. Not sure if prices are listed but they are better priced than ‘upscale’ salon. This a local place no fancy bells and whistles. So, its more relaxed and no upsell in products or snobbery. Local neighborhood place. Over the moon I found this gem. Love each cut I ever had here! So, for instance in price comparison. Wash, color,cut, style and blowout with product. $65. No unexpected $2.+ up For special conditioner, more color/tint or gloss.
