Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueWe went there for my girlfriend’s haircut. Even after booking the appointment in advance, the salon guy made us wait for half an hour. On their website they mentioned that cape’s are only used once, but the guy used same cape for all customers. He didn’t sanitize his hands between shifts even once.The Asian guy doesn’t know his job well at all. He cut the hair really short (way more than what we asked) and when confronted, he blamed it on us. This was the worst haircut that she has received.While booking the appointment, we asked him the price for haircut and he said 15$ for short hair and 25$ for long hair. My gf had hairs below shoulder length, so we were expecting 25$. At the time of payment, he charged us 35$. On top of that, he refused to take the payment without the tip (for that horrible haircut). When we paid the tip, he asked us to pay more. (It is a customer’s wish to decide the tip amount, you cant really ask how much to pay).This is the worst place to go for a haircut. Showed up with the coupon they had online for the Stony Brook Location ($12 that includes shampoo, conditioner, and haircut). Was informed they can’t honor the coupon and the best they can do it $3 off a haircut due to owner’s policy. So I got only a haircut for $17 (no shampoo, no conditioner). If you can’t honor a coupon you supply, take it off your website. Tipped well regardless but this is the first and last time going to this Stony Brook location – I’ll stick with the Port Jeff LemonTree that honors this same coupon and provides the full services.

It was my first time getting my hair colored so I was quite nervous but they did a wonderful job and were so friendly the whole time. I went for a blonde balayage (I already have lighter hair but wanted a change) and it came out great. It looks natural and my hair doesn’t feel damaged at all thanks to a conditioning treatment they did. Also the best haircut I’ve had in a long time! Thanks Ivonne!

I got a bad haircut and the and the woman told me she was getting over a bad cold. I asked for shoulder length hair and she cut it up to my ears. When she was washing my hair she got my whole entire backside wet. She ripped us off and she was humming right in my ear the whole time she was doing my hair. I did not get the haircut I wanted, it is way to short. I would never come back to that place ever again. I would give it no stars if I could.

I wanted my whole head dyed said it a couple of times and asked if it was 35 dollars they proceeded to just do roots then after tried to charge me double the price for some kind of creme they put on my head with out telling me it was extra. Service is good. It is better to call them and take an appointment in front because you go there and wait for your turn and by the time your turn comes, some people just come in and say they have appointment and it is true because they already took appointment, so you have to wait a little longer. If you are lucky it will be just a man haircut and if you are not, it could a lady who comes for her facial or beauty related thingy and you have to wait for hours for it to get completed. So yeah, it’s better to take appointment and go. And yes, last but not least… DISCOUNT COUPONS are available online
