My cousin recommended them, as my hairdresser raised her price way too much. So my cousin usually goes as a walk-in and never waits more than 10 minutes. I went on a Saturday, they were busy so I asked how about Sunday so she gave me 11 am. I got there 10 minutes early and could feel the heat coming out of the salon…very hot day today. So I waited outside, went in at 11:03 and this old woman with tattoos says you can get washed now…well 3 others had just finished their customers and I was wondering why I was getting her. So I get washed by this sweet young girl who, unlike others I’ve had in other places, never got any water in my ears and was very gentle so I said how bad could the old lady be…I had a very bad vibe from her, though. Well…I waited another 15 minutes for her finish the other customer while the others were just waiting for customers…she really took her time with this lady. I told her to cut the layers…I have very curly hair and showed her how much to cut…about 10 minutes later, she says you’re done! I looked at her and said it’s too bushy , she didn’t seem to understand me. I know my hair. I said I needed more cut so she got annoyed and said it will shrink up too much…well, 2 minutes later she ripped the cape from my neck and said you’re done! Walked away…I was in tears. I’ve never had my hair so short! Another woman tried to straighten it out but it was too far gone. Ruined for my birthday! I don’t want to leave my house for at least 2 weeks! I’m sooo upset! Never again!!!

I liked this place until I had to deal with this lady with Tatto. I believe her name is Stacey. Unbelievably rude to customers. I overheard her comment about this elderly lady’s hair saying how dirty it was. She was there for a wash. She was yelling at her other customers for not being few mins late. She told them to go find another salon because she wasn’t doing her cut. She wouldn’t let someone else do her customers she would rather send them back. She was extremely rude both times I went. I went for a haircut i wanted to get layers. Stacey has no idea how to do them. She made my hair so short and didn’t do layers. When I asked if she could fix a little she just walked away. You guys are losing customers because of her. Not going here anymore.

I have spent the two years of the Pandemic searching for a hairdresser after my hairdresser of 30 years retired. I had several unsuccessful tries with different salons. FINALLY, taking a complete chance, I went into Lemon Tree in New Hyde Park, NY and the receptionist spoke with me and hooked me up with Agatha. I have short hair and no one has listened to me in two years. Agatha not only listened, she gave me a beautiful color and haircut.
