Been having my hair done in NYC for decades and paying a fortune. Moved out East and discovered a woman at Lemon Tree in Bay Shore. Yes, Lemon Tree! She gave me the best perm I have ever had. Spent time determining exactly what I wanted and knew exactly how to deliver it while protecting my hair from damage. She works Thurs and Sunday and would rather I didn’t mention her name. Just ask for the perm expert and they’ll know who you mean. A little hair trim and she got it spot on. Could not be happier with the results.

Lemon Tree is a hit or miss, it seems. Like a stepping stone for a gifted stylist or a stylist that just enjoys the art and is content wherever or..that not so talented one in a place where most customers don’t expect the best anyway. But I have to tell you that the couple of times I have been there for basic cuts and coloring, I have not been disappointed. So either I keep getting lucky or it should have a better reputation.

I had my hair done here I had high lights put in when I got home I looked closer and I was really disappointed. Not only was I there for 5 hours The high lights started half way down my hair and she barely put any on top I ended up looking like a skunk. The worst wasn’t over with yet.. When I washed my hair I almost died, seriously I was infuriated. The pics will say it all..idk what she did but what I do know is that she didn’t do what she was suppose to do. Not even close.. I will never ever let anyone from this establishment go near my hair ever ever ever again.. This place is horrible. I went back to show them but of course everyone wants to act like they can’t help me and the woman who did my hair all of a sudden is always off.. It’s OK now they’ll be speaking to my attorney..

Mia did an absolute amazing job on my hair, when I first went to her my hair was dead and dry to me over processing and bleaching. She saved my hair by giving me a great haircut and products that gave a lot of life to my hair. Today I went for color and she did a fantastic job I love it and it looks so healthy. We walked in today to get my son’s hair cut, and Susanne knew exactly the look we wanted for our son. She was very friendly and patient with my 4 year old moving around the whole time. She also had her cute pup named Tina there, which of course my son was in love with. We’ll definitely be coming back on Sundays when Susanne and Tina are there. Highly reccomend!
