What can I say, Leon is the man! I’ve tried different barber shops in the past and either the cut or the atmosphere wasn’t right. Then I found Leon and Legacy Barbershop around 2004-2005. Yes, you heard that correctly, I’ve been a loyal customer of Leon’s for 15 years and I wouldn’t dare go anywhere else. The shop is in a good location, the atmosphere is awesome, and Leon is just an all around great guy. So if you are looking for a Barber for you and/or the family look no further, you won’t be disappointed!

Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueLeon was great! Made an appointment for 2 p.m. and got there a few minutes early. The shop has a very virus protocol friendly setup. Just the one barber… Taking appointments.My son’s haircut is really nice. I’ve honestly been cutting his hair, or taking him to the chain esthetician shops, because i used to hate spending the majority of a Saturday in a barbershop talking about sports and guy stuff. But gotta be honest (and no harm intended), I needed a little more “soul” going on around my boys head. And Neither myself nor the chain shop were “cutting” it in that arena. So, i googled barbers in Culpeper and Legacy had great reviews. We were in and out and less than an hour. AND we still managed to fit in some grown men discussion about sports, fatherhood, faith, just…. Grown man talk. No cursing, no egos. Just genuine kid friendly conversation and a great hair cut. My boy looks great. I’ll have to post some pics, but trust me.The shop is located in a neat spot in down town Culpeper, near the train Depot at the end of the one street. Sorry, I’m terrible with directions and landmarks. Parking wasn’t hard to find, but i did get a little turned around as to exactly where the shop was after i found parking. Google maps was actually giving me the correct walking directions, after we parked. The shop is pretty tiny in comparison to other shops typically. So i didn’t see a clear marker that i was approaching the shop until i was about to walk past it. But once we found it…. It was all good from there. Great guy. Great personality. Nostalgia, ambiance, quality. I appreciate that. I want my son to have that same experience that i had as a kid. Leon at legacy made me feel that. Will definitely be going back and will definitely recommend Legacy to other parents of other curly headed biracial boys with African American fathers. (And definitely not forgetting mi hermanos latinos! They got that curly soft stuff too…lolol)! And the prices are great. I started going to Leon 3 years ago after dealing with many unprofessional barbers throughout culpeper and I will say Leon is by far the best person I have came across. He has not only given me excellent hair cuts but also given new perspectives on life in general. He has made me and my other family members feel at home and has been very professional.
