They don’t take their time and they use cheap hair that doesn’t heat well. She didn’t cut the hair off the box braids going down the braid but keep going up on price they want to do big braids nothing that takes time street hairdresser could have done better

If I could give them a negative 5 I would. Don’t usually do this but this place was awful. The hair braider was an hour late before one of the other braider told me to give her a call just to have her tell me she forgot about me and that it would be an hour or so before she would be there. Now there’s one young lady getting her hair braided at the time and another waiting (She was there before me and looking irritated, her braider was late also.) The shop was dark and dirty the one braider that was on time looked unkempt. Would never go there again.

I started to NOT go to this place simply because of the bad reviews, however I went anyway to see for myself.

I’m giving 3 stars because this used to be the place I get my hair braided every year . However last month I got long individual braids that cost me $250!!!! I could only keep them for a month. First off. Two women braided my hair so you could tell there was a difference in the braids in the front than in the back. My hair was braided too tight in the front and fell out and caused tension alopecia! Never again. The owner tried to instruct the employees on how to braid my hair and they wouldn’t listen.

They do an awesome job!!! Very professional and reasonable prices! My daughters and I go there and they do a great job. They don’t braid to tight or make hair to thick for littles girls. Definitely would recommend Lalas for everything braids!!

When you first walk in it doesn’t make you wanna stay there. The atmosphere is unorganized and bland there’s no color or and vibrancy of warmth and good vibes. Only a diversity of broken furniture and a tv. The owner i assume doesn’t really have welcoming hospitality nor evidence of her work, that really makes you want her to do your hair. I didn’t like her at first, she got an attitude when I asked her what she used to retwist locs with and I explained to her what I wanted and she then said if I don’t trust her to do my hair I can leave. Since I was in desperate need of a retwist I stayed then later while her and another were working on my head she sparked conversation. She gets phone calls from her husband that she takes. And I noticed they didn’t decide to use a comb to put any parts in my head until the very front top “the end”, and where did the comb come from? The hair wash sink that was filled with containers and had weave on it… oh and did I mention she didn’t wash my hair when asked because she said “it’s clean”… Then she didnt damp my hair while retwisting and all she did was add gel and retwist them tightly then told me a story of how locs will thin and snap off sometimes lmao. She was basically telling on herself then. I was done with all clips all over my head and newly made dreads in parts of my head where they were supposed to be parted and separated for the new growth to be put in the already existing instead she made more smaller ones after telling me I should’ve gotten thicker dreads as if I have small sister locs -_-. My dreads are the size of size 6 fingers. She put me under the drier with the clips and gel on my scalp only and they were burning, I had never put that much heat on my head in forever. I had to unravel alot because they were too twisted when I got home, and me and my friend both had weave stuck to us from hair being in chairs and by the drier. They need to work on cleanliness, display, honesty about talents and clients, and presentation. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE DREADS, MAYBE TO START THEM BECAUSE THATS EASY BUT NOT FOR THE FOLLOW UPS and if you do BYOP ( Bring your own products)
