I have been going to Lee for 5+ years. Despite his oversized and strong build/appearance, he is very delicate and precise in his haircuts. He is always straight down to business and does not talk at all. You will often go through the entire haircut without saying a word, which I appreciate.

Mr. Lee is an amazing hair stylist. My husband and I have been coming here since 2011. His haircut is always so consistent and precise. He is an extremely skilled stylist who will tailor to your needs. He may seem serious at first but you will learn that he is a very warm and nice person. He moved his salon from Allston to Watertown. His newly moved salon is located at My Salon complex suite 101 and there is spacious free parking in the back. Men’s haircut is $40 and women’s haircut is $50 which I think is very reasonable

Positive: Professionalism, QualityVery professional and skilled barber. A little pricey at $40 + tip but if that’s in your budget, it’s well worth it. Mr. Lee is focused when he cuts your hair and isn’t quite talkative- so if you’re looking for a good conversation, I might suggest somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Lee’s Hair Story for over a year now. I’ve been to other barbers and hair stylists around Boston but haven’t been as impressed as I am with Lee’s. Lee is a bit aloof but is an all around nice guy underneath his gruff look. And his ability to handle hair is top notch. I once asked him if he could cut my hair on the back of my head more, but he told me that it might cause my hair to stand if he did so. I appreciated that he was that familiar with my hair and knows haircutting to a science. Seems like a mark of a true master.

Came here for haircut during the lockdown. The stylist clearly is experienced in the field. It may seem like he is not precise or careful, but end result is perfect. Told him the haircut I want and length and that is it. He doesn’t talk much but skills doesn’t have to talk. Been looking for a consistent hair stylist for like last four years. I’m glad to say I found one. I will be back in the future.

Went here because the barber shop I usually go to was closed and because I was looking for an Asian barber shop in Allston. After reading all the Google reviews I decided to try it anyways despite some negative reviews.

I’ve been coming here for the past 6 years. Lee is the best out the half dozen other places that I’ve tried. The furniture/decor is outdated but the haircut is top notch. Rules: 1. Must make an appointment at least a couple days prior. 2. Don’t chat during the haircut. 3. Be punctual. I plan to arrive about 10 minutes early and can usually start then.
