This place should be shut down indefinitely! The technicians lack professionalism as well as experience. Instead of spending money on actually learning how to do simple task, such as manicures, they focused their attention on creating an ambiance. Which does absolutely nothing since ALL of their attitudes suck! They’re rude and disrespectful as if they have a reputation that warrants any respect. I’m convinced they buy the cheapest materials possible. For anyone who has been here and received the same treatment I did…contact the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau. For anyone looking to spend money here…DON’T! Look up the reviews here and Yelp. They suck!

On Saturday, I got a $35 no chip manicure from Lee Nail. On Monday night, all the polish came completely off. When I called to discuss this with the manager, she said they have a three day policy, even for no chip, and that the only way she could fix it was if I came to the shop the same day. Unfortunately, I live about 45 minutes away, and this was not feasible, although she kept insisting this was my only option. She also hung up the phone after I asked to speak with someone else. Completely and utterly unprofessional and unacceptable.

I have never been so mistreated at a place, I am giving business to. I walked in for a fill in on some hel nails. 1st time there. I guy approached me to have them done, great, that was quick. I begin to feel his negative vibe, maybe he was in a bad mood. He was speaking his language so wasnt sure what was going on, just assumed in the tone, something wasn’t right. He began to remove my polish roughly. I said, sir if your in a bad mood please do not take it on me, just want to have my nails done. He said loudly, you want to nails done or not! I said, I did but no thank you, I will take my business elsewhere. He said yo go now! I couldn’t believe what just happened. Under no circumstances should anyone treat anyone that was, especially if your running a business. Be pleasant to you customers, it goes a long way.

I’ve been working in this shop now for about 15 years there’s people on here that I never even seen before that’s putting down fake reviews about this nail shop. Even though our sign says walk-ins are welcome you as an adult should know that is always best to book an appointment and I understand the spur the moment pedicure manicures but you are willing to take a risk to step into a nail shop knowing you have to wait and you still get mad when we tell you it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait because we don’t believe in lying to our customers saying is only going to be A 5 minute wait and when actually it’s about 30 to 45 minutes I no longer work at this nail shop because I am actually in the Air Force protecting your freedom so you can write some BS review about this shop and yeah there are times that we are undermanned cuz workers choose to move on with their life and pursue a better career ..those who have been going to us for over 20 years know how good of a job we do if we didn’t do a good job we wouldn’t be in that strip mall for 20-plus. We don’t BS our customers and we tell him straight up the truth.

So I wish I would have read these reviews before I spent any money at this place. The salon is dirty and has a funky smell that I’ve never experienced before. The technicians are more interested in speaking with eachother rather than asking their clients how they like their nails shaped or if they even want them cut, spoiler alert, I did not. These little things don’t matter to this staff.

I live in the city, and have visited many nail places all around Chicago. I work down the street from Lee Nails and i needed a cut down and color change for an evening out with friends, so during my lunch break i came down to Lee Nails and was given the best service i think I’ve ever received anywhere in the last 15 years Ive been getting my nails done. The wait was not long at all, I think i spent more time choosing a color than i did waiting to get serviced. They had a vast variety of colors and brands, both no chip and regular polish. Darks, Reds, Pinks, Neutrals, Greys, even Neon colors. (I personally use regular polish as opposed to no chip because i change them often), when I read the review that they only had a few colors, i had to question if it was the same place i went to. lol First thing i noticed was that the technicians spoke ONLY ENGLISH, to customers and among each other and spoke fluently so it wasn’t hard to understand a question or request or feel as though they were talking about you or a customer which was a PLUS. At least for me, a lot of nail salons in the city have very little English speaking capabilities, and often spoke in foreign language when speaking to each other. The nail tech (which i cant remember her name, first chair in the center row) was very polite, and tentative to how I wanted my nails. I had them very long and coffin shaped and I wanted them short and squared and she did a very good job at doing them exactly how i wanted I was quite surprised and pleased with the outcome, she cut and shaped them to my liking and not how she felt like doing them which is another thing I’ve experienced many times before in other locations. She even offered to apply a later of gel coat on my nail tips which most salons charge more for that. I also got a color change on my toes as well which was also satisfactory. While I was sitting in the chair, I can hear the other techs speaking to the customers and in a very friendly and polity manner. I didnt see or hear any nasty remarks or feel any negative vibes at least during my visit. An elderly woman was getting a pedicure and the tech who was servicing her was helping her and assisting her getting in and out of the chair. When it came to paying for services, I was surprised at how affordable it was. I had went to nail salon located in the same plaza as my work office building and paid $30 for a color change on my hands and feet ( not including tip), Lee nails only charged me $18. Which is $2 more than what i pay in the city but i was happy with the outcome and the service i received i gave a nice tip 🙂 I even considered giving up my regular nail spot I’ve been going for the last 6 years to coming here as to how pleased i was! So when i read these reviews I was a little thrown off, I didn’t experience any negative attitudes, or badly done nails. If you think THEY were “rude” my advice stay away from any salons in the city because alot of them dont abide by “the customer is always right” rule and alot of techs will do your nails how they want to and you will leave very dissapointed lol. My nails are still looking good after 2 weeks and I have regular polish on my nails. But Ill be coming by soon 🙂 Thank You Lee Nails

Never heard or seen a nail “salon” that has such HORRIBLE customer service. Employees are EXTREMELY rude and UNPROFESSIONAL! Not to mention the polish selection for non-gel manicures is limited to 10 year old red, red and darker RED that’s clumpy and crusted and should not even be used. No one should ever go to them for services because they do NOT deserve the business!! If I could give a NEGATIVE star, I would!

In the case of Miss K. Fusim, on behalf of Lee Nails, we are truly sorry that we can not serve you when you come in. An advice to you is to make appointment next time. I (David)will give you a 20% off, as a form of apologize. We closed at 8’clock, which mean we take our last customer around 7:15 or 7:30 is the latest. We all have a life beside work. The reason why we still around after 25 years is because we have great customers. At Lee Nails we treat all our customers with respect and being as helpful as we can.

Seriously, take the “Walk-ins Welcome” sign off your door. I have tried 4 times to stop in for eyebrows, the first time I waited 30 minutes. The second time I was told there wasn’t time (at 230pm when they are open until 8pm) and the last two times she couldn’t even give me an estimate. Every single one of these times there has only been 1 male technician and 1 female technician. Place is COMPLETELY empty with exception to the client they are currently working on.

To Mr. Long Pham: In case you didn’t know you cannot leave multiple reviews. Only 1 review for a verified account. You and your employees are unprofessional and rude to customers THAT is why you have bad reviews. I am much happier now that I am no longer berated and disrepected by your staff. PERHAPS IF YOU FOCUSED ON YOUR STAFF AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS INSTEAD OF LEAVING RUDE REPLYS TO UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS YOU COULD FIX THE PROBLEM but I forgot you as the owner ARE JUST AS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL AS YOUR EMPLOYEES. You can say whatever you want but if all your reviews are bad that speaks for itself! YOUR ONLY GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES replying to bad reviews. NOTHING BUT BAD REVIEWS ABOUT YOUR RUDE EMPLOYEES AND UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS. I’m not surprised about their conduct and behavior when the owner himself is so rude when addressing customers online. ……your employee David is unprofessional and rude to customers. If I could rate this a ZERO STAR I would. The way he speaks to customers is UNACCEPTABLE. He cannot cut cuticles or shape nails. Since he did not ask how I wanted my nails shaped, I asked him if he could reshape my nails to make them square. His response ‘next time tell me first so you don’t waste my time.’ Do not waste your money. There are 15,000 other nail places close by, do not go to this one!
