I finally found a shop that does what you ask them to do and they listened. I enjoyed my first experience and will definitely be back

It is always professional service. Although more expensive than others. I just. read a sign that prices would go higher in February. Its a shame and I would have to go to another place.

Terribly inconsiderate of my time. Made sure to have an appt for 1130 (because it was Saturday morning), had an event in Wicker Park at 3. Regular mani/pedi-didnt get in a chair until 1215, even though I asked x2 about timing and letting them know I had to be somewhere at 3. No one even started on me until 1230,after (admittedly) I was very loud about asking my ride to come back later and why. Then things started happening. The reason why they at least got one star is that Nancy did a great job despite the time constraint. But I only had 10 minutes to dry so i could get back on my timeline so I ruined 4 nails by the time I got home and ended up taking the polish off….worst nail experience I’ve ever had….

I’ve been going here on and off for years. There have been a few times where I wasn’t happy but this disappointment came sooner than I needed. This started happening only a week after my nails got done. This is a no chip and though pretty my nails feel like they will break at any moment. Maybe it’s the brand nail polish (opi)

I’ve actually gone to this location for a while now. But it has always been for a no chip manicure on my own nails. My nails have been breaking and I wanted longer nails for a trip I’m going on, so I decided to get a full set Gel. Which means tips with a gel manicure. My nails turned out horrible. I went from having natural nails to big thick square fake nails that were terrible. I was very specific that I wanted my nails to look as natural as possible. And by the end they looked so bad I had to let her know. There were large lumps from the gel not being bugged down enough, my nails were super square although I asked her time and again to make them more of a rounded natural looking square. After sitting for there two hours I realized it was as good as it was going to get. I paid $65 plus tip for a terrible job. I called and expressed my concerns that I paid $65 to walk out unhappy and was told to come back to have someone else fix them. The person who fixed them did the best job she could do with the mess that was my nails, but they’re still not worth the $65 I paid. I won’t be going back. I’m having a hard time finding a nail shop in my area that actually does the job worth the amount they charge. I’ve yet to find it. I’ll have to travel to Lincoln park area where my daughter gets her nails done and they’re always immaculate. I don’t think a business should just charge to charge. They should charge based on skill level. And my nails are no where near being worth $65.

I don’t usually write reviews, if I don’t end up liking a place or a service I just don’t go back. But this place should be avoided at all cost! I went in for a dip manicure, the lady pretty much ripped off my natural nails and made me bleed trying to takeoff my previous dip manicure. Instead of soaking it, she started picking it off with fake nails and clippers and completely damaged and destroyed my natural nails so we had to file them down really short. Not to mention when she did the actual dip manicure on top of it, it looked like a five-year-old did it and it took her over an hour and a half. Then they tried charging me $55, an extra $10 saying that the nail removal was acrylic nails which I did not have, I specifically said I have dip on my nails!! I even said aww in the middle of her taking them off because she was hurting me, and asked her why isn’t she soaking them, then she started soaking them like a normal dip manicure removal. The girl at the front was rude, the lady that did my nails clearly didn’t know what she was doing, the worst manicure I have ever had! Do not go there! And just to clarify, this is the Lee nails on Central and Devon!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, QualityI’ve been going to Lee nails for over 8 years now and have had almost all of their technicians with little complaints. In the last year, I’ve focused on booking with Mia. My dip manicures last for weeks thanks to her attention to detail. She goes the extra mile with pedicures to be as thorough as possible. The location is very clean and the staff turnover rate has been low for the last 8 years – which is always a good sign. I look forward to my appointments and don’t mind driving the distance as I always leave satisfied. I avoid other nail salons because I know Mia/Lee have been the best in their quality consistency. Highly recommend booking here. Weekends are busy so be sure to book ahead. I want to say that I have been going to Lee Nails for more than 9 years and I always see Rosie. Rosie is amazing and super clean and never disappoints even when a nail style might be “challenging”. She is so incredible that I feel so comfortable booking appointments for my dad with her who is diabetic and requires extra care and cleanliness. As far as my mom, when I go see Rosie I book an appointment for her with Julie who is also amazing and greatly calm. My mom love Julie and the time and care gives! Thank you Lee Nails for having such wonderful ladies there! 🙂
