Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueLea is amazing! I started going to her a few years ago. I use to see stylists in NYC and DC who would charge close to a $100 a haircut and they were good but not as good as Lea. Not only are her prices extremely reasonable but she pays so much attention to what I want and then always delivers! At first I would only get haircuts because I never really thought it was worth it to get highlights and a color (other places would encourage me to go back for touch ups so often) so because of all the maintenance I just colored my own hair. But with Lea, I get all that done! After Lea does my hair- and I usually request some sort of ombré- everyone and I mean everyone compliments it! I also have super curly hair, which some stylists can’t work with or do the same thing over and over again so they can stay safe- but Lea makes my hair look the way I want it to- but pays attention to my hair type and my skin complexion when she’s coloring it. She is also super focused on making sure my hair stays healthy. Most other stylists want you back every so often for a color or a cut so they can ensure a steady income- but Lea seems to really care that I take care of my hair so she doesn’t encourage that I dye it too much and doesn’t encourage cutting it more often than need be.She also styled my hair on my wedding day- and I’ve never felt so perfect. Lea is amazing! I started going to her a few years ago. I use to see stylists in NYC and DC who would charge close to a $100 a haircut and they were good but not as good as Lea. Not only are her prices extremely reasonable but she pays so much attention to what I want and then always delivers! Her studio is like a little heathen where you get to unwind and relax while having your hair done. There is such great calming energy when you walk in. Lea is so knowledgeable about color and not just about what looks good but the real chemistry behind color. There has been at least one occasion where I needed to bring my daughter to her because her collar had been messed up by another stylist. Lea definitely has her finger on the pulse of the latest styles and trends, but also encourages classic styles that fit in with my lifestyle. For instance, I am not the type that will come to get her hair cut and colored every 6 to 8 weeks so she makes sure that the color I have does not need all of that maintenance. Finally, the value that you get working with her is extraordinary. The haircut and color that I get from Lea is double the amount at some other salons. From the beginning she understood instinctively what I wanted for my hair, and is incredibly accommodating and generous in her time and commitment to her work. I first came to Lea for a haircut but and the next visit I told her I wanted to lighten my virgin black hair which I wanted and she was honest and realistic about what would work and what would not with my type of hair. Together we came up with the perfect ash brown balayage color that flattered me beautifully! The 2nd time I got my hair colored was to go blonde! If you’re afraid to go blonde, don’t fear. There is a right shade for everyone. Lea did her magic and gave me a beautiful blonde balayage that flattered my skin color. I’m seeing Lea again soon to go back to dark hair since it’s Fall. Lea is fun and easy to talk to and her talent always makes my hair look good! She uses good quality products too that she handpicks to make sure your hair will look as healthy as possible.
