McKenna does a great job cutting both men’s and women’s hair. She listens to how you want hair to be cut, and does it. Is meticulous about getting hair look good! She’s friendly, the shop is small but kept clean. Prices are much more reasonable than a regular salon.

The lady there is covering for her mom who is on medical leave and only working part time, while she also has a house full of (I believe) 6 kids! She has a lot on her plate but even still, manages to be friendly, sociable, and do a fine job with cutting hair. I wasn’t scheduled for an appointment but she was willing to fit me in (I called ahead before walking in). I was in and out in 20 minutes. I didn’t realize the location was cash-only, so at the end of my cut, it turned out I didn’t have cash. She was totally fine with me leaving to find an ATM and come back. This spot only charges $12, it’s far better than Main St barbershop, which is a minute or two down Main St.

The woman who works there does men and women. She’s kind. A bit talkative. Friendly. Very reasonably. But she didn’t listen too well when I explained what I wanted. Just one second more of listening would have made all the difference in the world and my haircut. However when all was done and paid and spoken about she handled the criticism well. She accepted responsibility and said she’d listen better than next time. All-in-all I enjoyed her her integrity and her skill. I would definitely recommend her. She’s not much of a walk-in for women but rather she would like an appointment. Make sense. I intend to return.
