I found Vince after years of trying several other salons in the area, so here are a few reasons why he’s a cut above the rest (pun not intended):-In contrast to many hair salons that double- and triple-book clients with quick in-and-out color appointments, Vince offers individualized advice and is willing to put in as much time as it takes to achieve the best result. When I returned after my first appointment for highlights, I was surprised to learn that he’d kept a few notes on the shades that worked best with my skin tone and eye color. Hard water is the bane of my hair’s existence, and he’s recommended excellent products that have helped me deal with the tangles and texture issues it causes. So he’s also helped me step up my game with home care.-He is always honest about what is (and is not) achievable with your hair type and color. In my case, we focus on natural gold tones rather than ashier blonds that make me appear washed out. If you are looking to experiment with a different color or cut, he can offer realistic guidance about how to make it happen, a trait that I’ve found to be relatively rare in the typical salon that’s rushing you out the door.Vince is a master of his craft who understands the art and the science of hair color. Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismI actually searched for a good client and found him on yelp. I took the chance and really hoped he would change my black dyed hair into ash blonde. It is hard, but he DID it!!!I love the color I have right now, and he is very knowledgeable on what you could reach with the current condition of the hair.Overall I loved his salon vibe and his professionalism. He got me in last minute for a laborious highlight/ lowlight session as a brand new client at 5pm on his Saturday evening. He did an excellent job, listened carefully to my concerns, and gave helpful critiques and education. Three hours alone with a stranger who has given up his important downtime for a new client should be Awkward and even nerve wracking since he has full control of your appearance. Instead it was Fun, funny, relaxing (omg shampoo massage ‍♀️) and I ended up with fabulous results compared to overpriced locations in Georgetown and Alexandria. Definitely see Vince! Omg Vince is a saint. He got me in last minute for a laborious highlight/ lowlight session as a brand new client at 5pm on his Saturday evening. He did an excellent job, listened carefully to my concerns, and gave helpful critiques and education.
