After driving for an hour to our couple’s massage, our appointment was canceled as soon as we arrived because someone had called in. This was a birthday present for my pregnant wife. We rescheduled at their request, and on the rescheduled day, we were told that the couple’s massage room was unavailable due to leakage. As soon as the rep said, “It’s not our fault.” I decided to cancel. I would recommend going to a more professional massage business.

When I first walked into the lobby I wasn’t greeted with that fresh smell you would experience at other massage spas; and the ambiance wasn’t as I expected, but that’s okay because I wasn’t there to sit in the lobby. I was ushered to the waiting area and impressed that the wait time was favorable. My therapist greeted me, ushered me to a room without wasting time. Christopher was my therapist; he asked many questions about my aches and pain and began my massage. I’ve been under the hands of some great masseuses and I would say Christoper is up there with the best I’ve experienced. I like a deep tissue massage—it can be painful, yes— but he didn’t disappoint! Would I recommend on ambiance, no, but on a good massage, absolutely! I came out feeling invigorated and booked my next appointment.

I stopped in to buy a gift card for my wife. I was told that since she had been there one time 4 1/2 years ago for a massage and was already in their system, that she would be charged their regular price of $99 for 30 minutes total. So the time for their required consultation and for undressing/dressing is taken out of that 30 minutes. So at best she, would get a 15-20 massage for $100. Nope! That is wayyyyy overpriced for what you actually get, not happening. So, the way I understand this is the prices that they advertise are only honored 1 time in your lifetime. I ended up buying her a gift card for her to get her nails and toes done instead. I will never return to LaVida Massage, and if I ever receive a gift card for them it’s either being given away or thrown in the trash.

Great staff but terrible management. Their application isn’t working all the time and doesn’t provide you the information you need. Cancellation happened few times right before the appointment and one time I wasn’t even notified until I made it all the way to the place. Their membership program sucks. They tell you credit can be used for you or your family members if you don’t use it, but then they don’t honor your credit if you are no longer a member for any reason.

I have changed my review. Shortly after posting this review on Chris’s request, Chris canceled and is only taking select clients. I’ve canceled my membership since none of the other therapists are able to do a proper deep tissue. I’ve followed the procedures for canceling and it has been a week and no response. They owe me a refund on the massage that was canceled the day of and any pending charges. When you call the front desk they can’t help you and give you an email address. I will follow up with the headquarters and my credit card if I do not hear back soon. LAVida never again.

This place is not qualified to do a prenatal massage for three reasons. One, their equipment is uncomfortable for a prenatal massage especially the pillows which offer very little support for side position massage. Two, the massage caused me more issues. Three, the staff was not empathetic when I let them know I had an issue from my massage. They advised me to sent email to the mailbox for the manager who did not bother to return my email to Find a resolution.

Here is deal…I’ve been going to this place off and on for 3 plus years. I’ve seen my share of different styles, men and women, and while most are not bad, today, however, I was treated to the BEST massage of my life! Yes, the best massage. Christopher is simply magical, he knows the body’s anatomy like no other and I could not have been more impressed. Man I wish I had known of him before today. What an amazing start to the weekend 🙂

I have used several massage therapists in the last 10 years and had 3 that I regularly had been visiting, until I found LaVida and Christopher. I happened to drive by one day and called. They were able to get me in same day. That’s huge bonus points in my eyes. I’m a last minute person. Upon arriving I was greeted, and seated in the waiting room for patients. Not the lobby. Not long, Christopher came to get me. Listened carefully to my issues and went right too work. After my first session I was able to lay on my right side again without pain. I went back two weeks later same great and wonderful experience. I’ll be making another appointment as soon as I get back in town with Christopher. The lobby and room are very clean and comfortable.

Recently had my first massage here with Christopher to address pain and tension post recent car accident. It was excellent and painful, but the good kind of painful that meant bound up soft tissue was getting the attention it needed. He even extended my massage window to 90 minutes from an hour because I needed so much work done. I’m definitely going to be a new regular client of his.
