Just got back from LaVida. I was rudely greeted by the receptionist. I said “hi” and she said “hi”. Nothing else. After a long pause, she said to me: “what is your name”. I found this slightly rude and direct. Maybe a “what can I do for you?” would have been more appropriate. Her posture was also terrible, just slouching in her chair. So, I proceeded to ask for her name in the vaguely same tone that she asked me. She didn’t answer. I asked a second time. She still didn’t answer. What’s with the attitude? After I sorted my appointment, which was under my girlfriend’s name (who asked to change it to my name during the day over the phone with an Anna (not sure if it was the person I dealt with)), I resorted to sit down and wait for my masseuse.

Watch out! If you cancel your monthly subscription, get it in writing and watch your credit card statements. They canceled mine when I asked them to do so then they turned it back on three months later without my authorization. They say they have the right to charge your card indefinitely. I did not receive any services from them for 22 months of unauthorized charges but they charged me anyway and would not refund the 22 months of money they took from me without my permission.

This was our 1st time visiting from Seattle. The couples massage was pretty amazing, probably the best deep tissue massage I’ve had. The work on my lower back and neck was so good, reached areas no other masseuse was able to reach. I had David and he was the right fit for me, thank you David.
