First the price listed at the website for the keratin treatment is not inclusive. In addition to the $300 there’s another $110 to complete the process in which I did not find out until after Lana started with the treatment. When I asked her about it, she said a keratin treatment typically cost that much and that she would include shampoo and conditioner. Be that as it may, I think that should be something you let the client know before you get started or at the least list the cost as $410 and not $300. Now when I went to Lana, my hair was indeed shedding and was chemically damaged. At that time, it had been seven weeks since my relaxer and I was looking for an alternative to a relaxer short term. She and I discussed relaxer vs keratin treatment at length. I’m not going to say she guaranteed anything but after that discussion, I understood that my hair would not be straight like a relaxer but at a minimum it would be manageable and that the keratin would minimize the shedding and was definitely better for my hair than a relaxer. Now she did inform me that my hair would shed some for the first week after the keratin. Well here I am six weeks later and I’m probably going to have to cut what’s left of my hair off bc of the extensive shedding and breakage. A horrible mess. After the first week, I texted Lana pictures of how much my hair was shedding and informed her my scalp was very sensitive. She had me come in and did a treatment at no charge; however, my hair continued to come out and again I texted her a picture bc the amount of shedding was not normal for me. And of course I get the “your hair was shedding when you came to me”. Yes it was but not to the extent that I can’t get my hair in a ponytail let alone a pigtail at this point bc it now so short and thin. Not to mention my hair was never manageable as Lana proclaimed. I paid for a high price blowout that lasted a couple of days at best which resulted in extensive hair loss. My hair is kinky and in the worst condition it has ever been. I’m almost 50 years old and my hair has never been this bad, it is very upsetting to say the least. I guess the first hint that this was not the salon for me was the lack of reviews. So unless you have money to give away and/or don’t care about the condition of your hair, I recommend you stay away from this salon. Here are a few pictures of the shedding on a daily bases and by the way Lana said this ant of shedding was normal.
