I spent at Licetime $1000+ on my family and products. Two days later after they cleared my daughter, she was sent home from school. Marcela is the one who checks the kids at school.Marcela came to my house that night and checked all three of my kids and my head. We still had live lice and eggs. She said that no matter how long the lice have been there, an experienced and effective lice remover would have left no live lice or eggs behind.I took photos of all the live lice that were still in our heads after Licetime.The technique Marcela uses is significantly different. She doesn’t use the mousse that Licetime uses. She uses an oil. Her combing technique is very different. Hands down, she is totally different and more effective when getting rid of lice.Because at Licetime the combing technique with the mousse feels painful, the client feels like this is working. However, to be called two days later by the school says that their technique is not as effective.Our nanny, the teacher and other parents were begging me NOT to go to Once Upon A Licetime, but I was desperate. After $1000+ on a family and products, you can tell I was willing to do anything. The daughter of the owner has been doing this “forever,” so I trusted her. She is super sweet, friendly and outgoing. However, I won’t waste my money there again. As amazing as that huge company seems to be, their technicians do not hold a candle to Marcela. As a local business owner, I understand the value of growing a business. The actual owner of Once Upon A Licetime does NOT treat clients anymore.I would rather go to Marcela who is extremely meticulous. I gave her a rather large tip because she was a great instructor, showed me EXACTLY how our heads were clear of lice, her technique is significantly gentle compared to the owner’s daughter at Once Upon A Licetime and she gave us clear instructions on what to do next.Marcela’s technique is to clear the lice in one treatment.I paid too much elsewhere for poor results. I would rather pay Marcela whatever she wants because she gets the job done.She is better, faster, has superior technique and far more compassionate for a mother of three who had to wash everything AGAIN because the first time around with the other company failed.Marcela is the big winner.
