Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men (Union Rd & George Urban Blvd)

Critical: Quality, ValueNope, won’t be a repeat customer. I was at the Galleria Mall today and thought “I haven’t had a haircut since before the pandemic. It would be great to find a barber who could handle my beard too!”Called Lady Jane’s, the woman who answered the phone was very nice and told me they accept walk-ins. Cool, I’ll be there in 10 minutes, since I’m in the neighborhood!Walked in 10 minutes later. Here’s the conversation with the woman at the front desk (didn’t catch her name since she never introduced herself):Me: Hi! I’m Seth!Her: Who?Me: I’m . . . uh, Seth. I called before, like a few minutes ago.Her: Oh . . . okay.Me: *Sees the computer to sign in* Okay, I’ll just fill this out then?End of conversation.I sit down to wait after checking myself in. Then Keyana comes over and says “You can come back.” No introduction again; I learned the name from her mirror. She asked me what I’m looking to do today. I didn’t really have any specific expectations, I just never found an everyday style that stuck. Also, my hairline is receding, which I’m okay with and don’t want a style that will make it look like I’m trying to hide it (overly long bangs for example). “Well, what size trimmers do you want?” I don’t like it when stylists ask me this because I have no idea. I told her that she could do whatever she thinks looks good. (It’s just hair, right? It will grow back if I don’t love it.)20 minutes and $32 later, I’m heading home to shave and try to fix the crown of my head with my Wahl trimmers. I didn’t lodge a complaint since it was already awkward as hell. No introductions and we barely said anything to each other after she pulled out her trimmers. To be fair to her, I’m sure she would have tried correcting the top of my head, but there really is no fix for the big patch on the left side of my beard. And no, I didn’t walk in with it. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve been taking my 8 year old son to get haircuts there for years. They’ve always done a really great job which is why I keep going back. I’ve recently discovered the amazing talents of Brittney. She does an exceptional job on his hair and is also very friendly. She also told me that she can cut girls hair which is very convenient since I have two daughters as well. I took my 11 year old daughter there for a trim and undercut yesterday and it turned out fantastic. She’s really happy with it and all her friends love it. I also had Ciara trim and layer my 10 year old daughters hair while I was there. She also did an amazing job. If I wasn’t bald, I would absolutely go there to get my hair cut as well. I recommend this place all of the time. I’ve been taking my 8 year old son to get haircuts there for years. They’ve always done a really great job which is why I keep going back. I’ve recently discovered the amazing talents of Brittney. She does an exceptional job on his hair and is also very friendly. She also told me that she can cut girls hair which is very convenient since I have two daughters as well. After the first couple cuts she knows how I like it and does a great job each time. I can message her ahead of time and work out a time that works for each of us and I never have to wait long when I get there. Almost always right to the chair. I’ve even had her cut my gf’s kids’ hair and they come out great. One is a 5 year old and the other is 2 and doesn’t stay still the whole time yet she still did great. After the last review I feel the need to say that she is NOT the same “white girl” that messed up the Puerto Rican’s haircut lol. There is more than one white girl there lol and some work more often than others. When in doubt ask for Brittany and she’s got you. Brittany is great. I’ve been going to her for over a year now. When I find a hair chick I like I stick with her. After the first couple cuts she knows how I like it and does a great job each time.
