This is my go to spot for a haircut on the north side of Grand Rapids. Sarah and Cassandra are excellent. They do seem to rotate through other staff that sometimes are hit or miss. The lack of online scheduling is frustrating and prevents a 5 star rating.

Friendly Hair Stylists in a business that makes it easy to set an appointment and pick your preferred stylist. Walk-in appointment was very easy to get but please check what times are available if you don’t want to wait. I do apologize, forgot to get the name of my walk-in haircut stylist. Thank you for the relaxing cut, wash, and style. Will update if I figure out the name of my stylist.

I went to the same hair stylist, Maddie, at the East beltline and knapp location. She was super nice but she flew through my haircut so fast that I saw her making mistakes but I really hate confrontations so I didn’t say anything. I don’t know if she noticed or if she didn’t care. But I had to go home and touch up my own hair after paying for a haircut. I’d like to continue to go back to this location just because I have a side shave and like to get it trimmed down on a regular basis. I do a 1 and 1/2 fade down and she shaves my neck with a straight razor. The line up near my part where my hair is growing out to my chin is always wonky. It’s never the same length she sometimes catches hair that I’m growing out. I probably won’t go back to her but this location is convenient.

I received one of the absolute worst haircuts of my life. After taking time to specifically explain what I wanted to include showing a picture, she proceeded to basically shave half my head. To be clear I asked to keep my hair long and she did whatever she wanted. What’s worse is what she did was terrible. I will not be going back as this is the second time essentially the same thing has occurred. If you want a shaved head this is the place for you.
