I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone going to get their nails done. I went to go get a dip manicure and asked if I could have chrome on top since this is the newest trend. They said they could do dip clear coat and then go over it with gel and chrome. As I’m not a seasoned nail tech, I said this was fine. Within 24 hours the top gel and chrome peeled off completely on one finger and all of the edges on the other nails were peeling up and getting caught so I removed the rest. When I called La Vie asking for a refund (as this happened within 24 hours and I’m out of town and can’t go back to get this fixed), they said they could not do that because it was one nail and all they could do was have me come in and fix it. I said this was not an option since I’m out of town. They then said the best they could do was refund me $15 for the gel top because my nail didn’t break. I said I wanted the full refund since this isn’t what I wanted or I would share my experience. They said that they would not give a full refund. I’m sharing because I think it’s terrible they wouldn’t try to make this right for someone out of town. I would not pay $42 (difference between my initial cost and their $15 refund for the ‘after’ pic) and I don’t think anyone else would either. I will never go back to this nail salon.

I had went in for my appointment with Yuki today and she did such an amazing job. Each time I come in I have a complex design for her to do, and she makes it look just like if not better than the picture. Well today I gave her a hard challenge. Since I was going to the Comic-Con I wanted nails of my favorite anime, Tokyo Ghoul. She said she would do her best, and when she finished I was amazed because it looked so good. Would definitely recommend her to people who love designs on their nails and fun art.

I’ve come here quite often since I moved to the area but last night was not a great experience. Got the deluxe pedicure with gel, did not even scrub the bottom of my feet. He finished the pedicure and I was like are you going to make my feet actually look nice… then when I get home I see he did a horrible job at cleaning up the cuticles on several toes. I paid $65 for him to paint my nails and basically do nothing else.

First off I would suggest definitely making an appointment, I think these days anywhere you go you should make an appointment. I don’t know why this place has so many bad reviews but I think they did a wonderful job and I have been to plenty of nail places. I made an appointment online, day of, and when I walked in my nail tech was waiting there for me. Definitely gave the place to star right off the bat. The next thing I look for when I get my nails done is If they paint all the way down to the cuticle, I hate when places leave a big gap between the cuticle and the nail so it looks like you got your nails done a week ago. They checked that box so that gave them three stars. I gave them four stars because I got one nail tech through the whole process from start to finish, I hate when places switch up nail techs or have someone else do the paint job like they’re too good to do my paint job. And Five stars was for all-around great service, clean atmosphere and politeness. Again, make an appointment, walk-ins were not getting the attention nor the time as I was who made an appointment. That was not my experience so I did not fit that into my personal rating system. I had Tony Vu who did a wonderful job!!

Jimmy, Stephanie and Ivy took great care of us.I brought a picture of what I wanted done to my nails and Stephanie was able to do it beautifully. She kept checking along the way to make sure I was happy with it.Jimmy took his time taking care of my daughter. This was her first time getting acrylics. He made the experience enjoyable!Ivy was so sweet with my younger daughter. She got her first manicure. She had so much fun.The salon was clean and ran smoothly despite it being a busy day. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueMy husband scheduled a surprise girls’ day for my birthday since he knows I usually use this salon for special get-outs. After this visit I will not recommend using just any person here ever! This place was recommended to me a few years ago and I try see STEPHANIE (did caps in hopes if she ever looks at reviews she will see how greatly appreciated her customer service is!! She is the reason for 2 stars) when I do come. She has always been absolutely wonderful- professional, very careful and best of all personable and nice!This visit I had one of the guys (he never said his name)… if he reads this I’m sure he will know it’s him without a doubt based on how blatantly careless and rude he was. I had my nails dipped, as I have done several times here before this visit. He nicked me a couple times when using the little shaver thing. I didn’t say anything because I know it happens… fine. He even kept forgetting to paint my left thumb until the end when he went to shape and laughed and said oh. Fine. Things happen I wasn’t worried because I knew he would notice at some point.When he asked how I liked my nails I said I loved the color, but asked him if he could thin them down a little because they were a bit thick. I am not normally one to say anything because I never want to offend. I did this time and it is a prime example as to why I am nervous to. When I asked he went on to tell me that they will break easily if they are thinned anymore than what he did. I responded oh, okay they just have never been this thick when I have had them done before. He said no and continued on and so I let it go. My friend next to me spoke up for me since she knows I would never and she could see they were very very thick. He ignored my friend even though she continued to asked and he looked directly at her. She then asked her nail tech to please ask him to thin them out, and said it’s her birthday today and she would like them thinned a little please.Welp..My nail tech then started with my thumb and just kept shaving it down. Down so thin you can see the corner of my nail. He went to some of the other nails shaved them down and kept going to the cuticle area where he already cleaned up prior and he kept nicking me. I had blood lining my cuticles on at least 3 fingers. Completely obvious they were bleeding and he said nothing. He just continued to whisper to the tech next to him. My thumb was the worst .. he lifted that one up and asked that better? My friend and I were completely caught off guard by such behavior we said nothing. Truly unbelievable, and again would never recommend seeing just anyone here.The pictures I posted are from today. Very clean place, and the nail techs are talented and precise. I have never had a better experience getting a manicure or pedicure. I recommend doing a powder dip manicure for the longest-lasting color and shine. Mine lasts for weeks, even in water, whether cooking, swimming, cleaning, or gardening.

This was my first and last time here. I had the gel pedi/gel mani combo. Their website and menu at the salon stated the combo was $85. After my nails were done and I went to pay my tech stated my total was $100. I advised her that their website and salon menu stated it was $85. When I questioned her, she stated the prices went up. This was not posted online on their website or at the salon. I paid the $100 plus $20 for the tip. Later that day, the nail polish peeled off on four of my fingernails. What an all around disappointment.

I’ve been to La Vie twice now; first for a pedicure and most recently for a shellac manicure. They were recommended by a friend for their Covid precautions and both visits they were very mindful of clean practices.
