I had planned for over a month to get a hair trim, as I wanted to keep the length of my hair. I walked in so excited that I thought they were expecting me with open arms. To my surprise when I arrived in through the door I being so excited masked up I saw a lady with short hair and an accent. She immediately told me she was not my hair dresser. She pointed me to their receptionist so I thought; a girl with long black finger nails and flat jet black hair , cursive tattoo under her chin and major Botox lips the girl seemed nervous and barely even greeted me. She pretended for a few seconds to be finishing up on the keyboard in front of her then told me, ” this way” to have a seat. I followed her to a corner chair and asked where I may place my purse. She let me know anywhere on the counter. She asked me what we were getting done today and I was so excited I went to my phone and began to show her my saved screen shots for curly hair. Immediately she told me she is not comfortable doing curly hair. Right away another female with glared eyes and a bull nose piercing with flat hair chimed in and told me if her other Junior stylist would be able to do my hair. As the Young teeny tiny Junior stylist came out from a door on the side around the corner from where I was supposed to be having my hair done came out I noticed that she flattened her hair and her hair was very short. I asked her if she had ever cut curly hair and her response was,”I cut my own”. She look like a straight out of high school super young and skinny black girl. She walked up to my hair picked it up from the ends and around looked at it and said that my hair was too pretty she didn’t want to ruin it. I just felt the excitement and the smile on my face turned into a frown like a child. The lady with the bullnose piercing then again chimed in and suggested to put me on a wait list in case someone canceled and let me know also that she had an appointment available as soon as in May. I told her I had actually booked this months ahead because my birthday is on the 30th of April. Let’s just say I won’t be coming back to this salon ever again. They knew the details and for some reason it wasn’t special enough for them to put any efforts to please me as a customer. And I highly don’t even recommend this place. As I am a very long time Aveda customer. I know all about the pure privilege points as well as systematically how things go individually for different salons and this was the most dysfunctioning and very disappointing moment I have ever experienced walking into a salon with pure privilege points calling themselves Aveda.

La Migliore is the best salon in the Bay area imho. The owner Showa is an amazing person and such a genius at styling, and her staff are equally good. I can go to any of them and know my hair will be perfect. I have short hair and the cuts last at least 6 weeks to 2 months. Highkly recommend you try them out! Hairstyling
