I lived in sterling since 2001 and let me start off by saying the location is in a good neighborhood on the nicer side of sterling. when you first walk in they take your temperature then depending if you schedule an appointment they’ll take you right in (if you’re on time) walk ins have a slight wait time. The service itself was pretty decent i believe but i just didn’t like how i was charged $101.01 for REGULAR mani/pedi w gel. I paid $110.01 in total because i couldn’t forget her tip. This was the 3 encounter i’ve have with la bona nail salon in all my years of living here in sterling and i have to say unfortunately it’ll be my last. It’s nice and all but the nails don’t really last that long for me to be charged that high. i didn’t even get any design! they like to charge high for the gel! so if you like the salon and the ladies just skip the gel and regular nail polish for the cheaper price…P.S the pic was taken at exactly a week after i got my full set in.

I came in with my mom as a Mother’s Day gift. My nail tech Kim did a poor job. There was about a 3 millimeter gap of bare nail before the nail polish started. I could see from the side where layers of polish were not covering to the edges of my nail. The top coat dried to a dull finish. Disappointed in the customer service, I’m fine with unfriendliness if you at least do the job right. I needed to pick up my kids and didn’t have time to sit back down for them to “fix” them. It was a simple manicure, nothing complicated. I won’t be going back.

Be aware they will pretend to wanting to help you get things like pedicures and manicures and you name it what not just to let you down when they can handle a nice professional job awful. Be aware they will pretend to wanting to help you get things like pedicures and manicures and you name it what not just to let you down when they can handle a nice professional job awful. Do yourself a favor and establish a nice business with people you can always count on when it comes to your nails you should feel good about it when you getting them done not awful.

I have been here several times – never a 5-star experience, but never bad. The last experience was very souring and I will be looking for another local nail salon. A friend and I went yesterday for simple pedicures. When asked what kind of pedicure we would like, we both said the basic option (which is still $31). My technician accepted my answer – since I am a runner and keep my nails short and simple. My friend’s technician was visibly and verbally annoyed that she was not selecting the $50+ pedicure option. She was no longer pleasant and was more forceful with my friend’s feet. Not everyone comes for the high-dollar packages and if you are not comfortable selling the $31 pedicure, then you shouldn’t offer it.

I have been going to this place since they opened and for the most part I have had good experiences, until this past Sunday… I went in for a gel manicure and had a terrible experience. My nail technician (Tony) cut not one but two of my cuticles so bad blood was running down my fingers. He was careless and didn’t seem to care about what he was doing. At this point, I had no interest in continuing, specially with a giant chunk missing out of my pinkie cuticle, and will not be going back here. It seems like some of their nail technicians need better training.

When I first called for an appointment, the receptionist was so cold and blah. I got there and she barely smiled. The guy did a great job with my nails and I was very pleased UNTIL they charged me more than they had said at the beginning because they used gel nails and I had asked for regular with gels. Anyways, maybe it was just a misunderstanding but I was still not happy I had to pay like an extra 10-12$. I decide to come back 2 and a half weeks later to get a refill and did not make an appointment but were able to take me in right away. The receptionist AGAIN no smile, barely a “hi, how were your holidays, etc”. Then I thought they had done GEL nails so that’s what I told the tech because of what they had priced me. Then she took the gel out and I said that didn’t look like what the guy used last time so she got mad! And changed her mood 180. Like what the heck??! How am I supposed know what they did??! I’m not a nail expert, I come to relax and enjoy getting my nails done! I almost got up and left but didn’t have time to go anywhere else and now I’m taking time to write this review because I wanna let you all know I’m SO dissatisfied with their customer service! I’ve owned a business and THEE most important thing is customer service. I WILL not be coming back.
