I’ve been here a couple times for a pedicure and I’ve like the service. My pedicures always come out as expected and the plain white (no gel) remains as requested. On Saturday, I went around 12pm to get nails done before my daughters Sweet 16 party. On this visit, I got my nails done this time. While getting my nails done, I was questioned over 5 times about getting gel nails, shellac and powder instead of regular white nails as requested. I got really aggravated having to constantly repeat what I wanted. My nails are finally done and I’m getting ready to go wash and I’m asked again if I want shellac polish for an extra $15 dollars. Again, I say no. Very pushy with telling you what you need and what would last or look better rather than listening to what the customer wants or is requesting. Anyways, My daughters and I leave and everything is fine until 7pm. We are getting dressed to leave and my nails are a totally differed color. Brown!!! Mind you, I went to the mall, decorated a hotel room and put clothes on after a shower. I never touched any chemicals, makeup or anything else to make my nails this color. My toes are white while my nails are brown. Same service was requested on nails and toes. Disgusted on so many levels. I spent $150 at the place only to have something totally different not even 24 hours later.

The polish still looks great 2 weeks later! The price is fair ($40-45) and I totally appreciated getting a free coke. However, the place is run down/messy and they didn’t want to lose a customer, so they said they could work on my nails and put me in the chair – but didn’t tell me I’d have to wait 45 min (when they would be closed) instead of turning me away. One employee had gone home for the day already, and I didn’t know they were short staffed. I wished they’d just said they couldn’t do it, but I understand them not telling me this and not wanting to lose a customer.

There are so many nail salons and all of them are hit or miss. Although the reviews for this one seemed 50/50 I just tried it anyways since it’s close by. Everyone was polite, but there is the obvious communication barrier like many other nail shops. There was a guy not wearing gloves while doing pedicures, and gloves should be mandatory for safety reasons. Other suggestions include better ventilation for everyone’s sake, and UV Dryers specifically for pedicures.

First of all.. the man was rude when I walked in. The woman who did my toes was sweet the whole time but she kept asking me if I wanted gel instead of polish. I kept telling her I wanted polish but she awkwardly kept pushing. I finally gave in, then right before she goes to do the gel, she tells me it’ll be $20 extra.. uhhh. Negative. I told her I didn’t want to do that and to just go ahead with polish. She kept explaining to me that the polish wouldn’t last as long . So when I get home I realize that she didn’t use polish. My nails were dull, for one. And two, it was coming off like paint. I’m pretty sure she used gel instead of polish. The issue with that is, gel has to have light and a special chemical to make it dry. I’m just suspecting that she was trying to make it come off really easily since I didn’t want to do what she suggested. Either way she did a horrible job and I won’t be going back.

La Belle Nails & Spa is a family owned and operated nail salon in La Marque. The owners have been in the nail salon business for over 15 years, so they definitely know what they’re doing. The staff are very friendly, patient, and accommodating. I’ve only been going here a few years but it’s well worth it, even driving from Seabrook. I am never disappointed when I get my eyebrows/lip/face waxed, and my nails always turn out great. If I’m not 100% satisfied, I let them know and they’re more than eager to make sure I leave satisfied. The pedicure options are nice whether you want it simple or if you want to be pampered, and they always offer complimentary beverages (including wine!). Bryan and Tracy are experts when it comes to nail design and quality, and they’ve got the licenses to prove it. I can promise that you won’t be disappointed if you’re a reasonable person (I’ve only ever seen “those” customers cause issues). But don’t just take my word for it, go and try this place out!

We were seen right away, which was nice. There wasn’t a great selection of regular nail polish. The staff was friendly, but I’ve never had a pedicure so fast before. I like to go to relax so that was a little disappointing. Also, I did not see their tools come of if any sort of sterile packaging. The person doing my feet had his bare hands on my feet and then dipped into the jar for the foot scrub, not sanitary whatsoever. One thing that freaked me out was when my toes were done under the dryer cobwebs came out with my feet! Definitely could be cleaner and more sanitary! Just read other reviews, and I’m praying I don’t get an infection from this place.
