I have been a customer for about 2 years and I highly recommend! I find sometimes hair studios in red bank can be over priced and pretentious, but that is not the case with L Studio! The prices are definitely appropriate and I have always felt welcomed and comfortable by the crew in the salon. The owner, Liz is the sweetest, and Francesca is an expert when it comes to color. 10/10 recommend!!

Have not been disappointed yet and I don’t see that ever happening! Fran has been amazing with lightening my hair gradually to maintain my hairs health and still give me the results I want, the rest of the staff is equally fantastic from my first appointment everyone was so welcoming. My husband and I just moved to the area a month ago, and I was looking for a new salon. I’m so happy I gave this place a try! I had Liz do my eyebrows, she was such a doll. Very nice, and friendly, made me feel really welcomed. She did an amazing job on my eyebrows, I feel like a queen! Fran washed my hair, she gives great head messages, and the temp was perfect. She made sure I was comfortable, and super friendly as well. Kara cut my hair, she did an amazing job! I feel like a baddie;) She took such great care of my hair, and was super friendly/nice. All the staff here is so amazing, they made me feel super welcomed. The place is so clean, and refreshing. I cant wait to come back! Thank you girls♡

Extremely unprofessional! Keep in mind this is not an issue with the stylist this is a customer service/management issue. I went months ago for the first time for a blow out & they charged me double. Without realizing I paid it but when I saw what was charged to my card I asked to be refunded they said they can’t do that & can only offer me a complimentary service. At that point I did not want to go back so I asked for half of it back from my credit card company. I received half of it back but I was told by the company that I am not allowed back in the salon. Pretty sure that’s illegal but okay. Asked to speak to a manager about this issue & she was extremely condescending basically talking down to me the entire time on the phone acting like I’m some scammer meanwhile I paid for the price I was told prior to my appointment. I also tipped the stylist $25.00 cash on top of it which I did NOT have to do considering it was just a blowout. Manager said they want to “protect” their employees from losing money which I get but they should’ve been upfront about the price & they should learn what customer service is. I work in customer service and this is NOT how to deal with a situation like this at all. You do not ban a customer from a salon for something like this… Nothing was resolved on the phone call I am still banned from the salon but not sure why because I paid what I was supposed to pay originally! Haha

Critical: Quality, ValueI booked a last minute appointment online, and the price quote for the balayage was 140$ after online discount. When I arrived at the salon the woman went through what my daughter wanted on her hair, and then proceeded to ask her boss (I guess that’s who it was) what the final bill would be after adding in a color melt (or meld, not sure if name) and a haircut to the balayage. The price was 265$. I said yes, go ahead. When we were finally done, and it was time to pay, the bill was 350$. I was then told the 265$ “was the starting point”. I was told the haircut was 65$ when my daughter first sat down. So 140$ plus 65$ is 205$ and 60$ for color melt sounded overpriced, but hey I was splurging on my kid going back to school. How the extra almost 100$ was tacked on? No idea. I’m kicking myself in the a$$ for not advocating for myself while there. I’m still very hot about it, which is why I haven’t called to complain. I whole heartedly feel taken advantage of. To top it all off, while the lady who did her hair was super nice, my daughter has hot spots of color on her head. Not good. I only noticed them the next day when I helped her blow her hair out. At the salon her hair was styled in the perfect way to hide imperfections. Overall, I am VERY disappointed, and I will not, and already have not, hesitated to tell anyone on Facebook asking for hair recommendations to avoid L Studio like the plague. Liz H is a wonderful colorist, who created an atmosphere of creativity and fun. I felt welcome and heard; everyone was attentive and nice. I did not have to wait and it was easy to schedule the next appointment. There was no annoying product pushing. Most importantly, my hair looks fabulous. Thank you, L Studio and Liz, for making my day.
