L. Smith Studio is a Hair Salon located in FIG Boutique in Hattiesburg, MS. The small studio salon allows for privacy and safety for clients. Stylist and Owner Lauren Carter-Smith was voted 2021 & 2022 Festival South’s Best Stylist/Colorist in Best of the Pine Belt. She has been a stylist for 10 years. L. Smith Studio offers customized hair care using Kevin Murphy professional color and products to fit the needs of our clients. Services range from women’s, men’s & children’s haircuts, speciality hair coloring techniques, application & removal of hair extensions, keratin and smoothing treatments such as Brazilian Blowouts, brow color and shaping and facial waxing. Being new in the Hattiesburg, Mississippi area, I truly expected to use a couple hairstylists before finding one that not only did great work with blonde, but had a great personality. To my surprise, Lauren was my first and only stop. Lauren took her time, made me feel so welcome, and I left with a great head of hair. I’m been with her for a little under 7months, and I refuse to go anywhere else. Lauren also does my daughters hair, and my daughter is just as happy as I am. Lauren has a gift and you would be doing yourself a huge disservice if you’re not using Lauren for all of your hair needs.

Lauren is THE BEST hairdresser in Hattiesburg city hands down. She’s updated with all the new hair trends like haircuts, coloring, extensions, etc. I have been her loyal customer since she worked at AVIDA and followed her to her studio when she started it. Positive: QualityLauren simply is the best. My entire family goes to her (besides my husband who doesn’t have hair to cut lol)! Not only do we all go to her, but all of us have completely different hair types and she masters them all. When my oldest, who has naturally super curly hair, comes home she always gets her hair cut by Lauren. She lives in Charleston SC, but only lets Lauren cut her finicky, extra curly hair. My other daughter loves vibrant colors and Lauren has done vibrant pink all over with purple undertones—it was amazing!
