L A Nails

Critical: QualityI have been to L.A. nails 3 times now. The first 2 times, I had a really positive experience. But tonight, I am left really disappointed. The staff is very kind but I am not happy with the actual service I received tonight. While I am not an expert, I have been getting acrylics regularly for about 4 years now, so I can normally tell when things are wrong with my nails. First of all, some of my nails were not fitted properly. One of my nails is digging into my skin and causing irritation because a tip that was too big for my finger was used. Some of my nails are also crooked and the acrylic is much too thick, so I expect them to lift fast. There were also indents and lines in my polish. P.S. The picture of the 2 fingers next to each other are my middle fingers from both hands. One is much longer and wider than the other, which is cutting into my skin on the side. I have been to L.A. nails 3 times now. The first 2 times, I had a really positive experience. But tonight, I am left really disappointed. The staff is very kind but I am not happy with the actual service I received tonight. While I am not an expert, I have been getting acrylics regularly for about 4 years now, so I can normally tell when things are wrong with my nails. While the manager was extremely kind, the staff was less than accommodating. I made an appointment for 3:30pm as I was on a tight schedule. They sat me in a chair at 3:45 and I waited there till 4:40 before anyone even started on me. I have been getting dip powder for the last 4 years and know the process pretty well. A proper dip manicure should take minimum 1.5 hours if done the right way. The nail tech that helped me spent more time looking at her friends on the staff and chatting than she did looking at my nails. I was done in 30 minutes, which is unacceptable. My nails are lumpy, thick, and already starting to peel (the top layer) after only 4 days. I knew from the moment I walked in that I was going to receive bad service solely based on the amount of people coming in complaining their nails were breaking, chipping, or peeling off. My nail tech didn’t properly drill my nails nor did she even have me wash my hands. When i asked her to file my nails down, she took the file and made ONE SWIPE on each side of my nail, not filing them into shape or down whatsoever. It’s a good thing my last nail tech had them already in a good shape or i would not have paid for this service at all. The staff is clearly always in a hurry and just wants to get you done and on to the next person. Friendly staff and always making sure guests are comfortable and satisfied! Wine and Pepsi products available too!
