Retwist 3 1/2 hours $120. Mine was extra bc he basically had to start new bc he wasn’t started right and washed before locked. And he has really thick hair. She explained the price increase to me and showed me why then took her time and got my son right. Very welcoming building and I saw her sister braid a man’s hair that was short and natural and the grip game is serious. I was excited to get basic corn rows done. This was about 3 months ago. Salon is close to home and they were able to work me in. Once I arrived they started speaking French which I understand the basics and greeted all the ladies. Once I told them I didn’t speak French, I could understand that they were talking about my hair and that they couldn’t do my hair like the picture I showed them. I didn’t tell them I understood because I wanted to hear how far they would go with their conversation. I felt it was unprofessional speaking about the clients. This salon also doesn’t accept debit/ credit card, only cash. I almost left before getting my hair done but she realized that she knew I wouldn’t return and let me pay $ 150 for the service. I’m from Texas, I’m Latina with wavy thick medium long hair but never had to pay over $80 for my natural hair. The braiding was nice but again I understood the hair lady taking about me in French and she kept pausing to call/ text on her phone. I don’t think I’ll return.

For instance she charged me 300 for waist length box braids however my braids are not all the same length (uneven) and the parts are not boxed at all. I will NEVER visit this place again and I suggest you find others braiders who actually take pride in their work/craft and is not motivated off greed and ripping people off. No matter if you provide the hair or not her price won’t change unless she is the one who change the prices while you are sitting in her chair. Shady business lady and immoral with no humility. This price was given after the braider had completed one braid. I have been going to Kris for my braids for about 18 months now, since I’ve moved here. My job requires me to work nearly everyday, 18+ hrs a day for 3 months at a time and my hair holds up nicely under these conditions. Even after 4 or 5 weeks with my braids or twists people still compliment me on my hair and ask where did I get it done. The quality of hair braiding is well worth the price. I would definitely recommend Kris to anyone.

They are WAY over-priced, and not honest about their pricing before you arrive. I called and informed them that I would be arriving from 1.5 hours away, and that I would like small box braids. When I arrived, I asked that they part the center braids much bigger/corn-roll than the rest of my head in order to reduce the bulkiness. They agreed, and admitted that it would make the process easier on them. I still didn’t mind paying the originally set price. After she completed, she charged $300.00!!!! I got her the money, but was pretty hot about that hefty increase in price. Being polite I told her thank you as I was leaving… SHE HAD THE NERVE TO ASK FOR A TIP!!!!!! I said…umm your tip is included with that STEEP price! As for the braids… they were OK. They knew NOTHING about hair care! They were ripping my hair out coming it with a small tooth comb. They also seemed surprised to see that I had longer hair! This told me more than anything that they are not accustomed to people concerned about their edges, or used to caring about their own natural hair. They are a dishonest business. Enter at your own risk.

She was very nice, but I had issues with my braids. They became very fuzzy after one day, and you could see my ends sticking out of the braids. She also upped the price when I got there just because my hair was thick. The thickness of my hair should not cause a price increase. It was completely manageable, and no other braider ever had an issue with it before. She also almost kept my leftover hair for herself. When I asked for it back, she made a face like I was being rude or something. I mean, I did pay for it so I should keep it, right? The price for the braiding wasn’t too bad, and she is definitely quick, but overall her skills are lacking and she can come off as unprofessional.
