I have fine thin limp hair and have been getting it permed so I can have body and fullness. My current stylist is booked for months (she does a beautiful job) I am going on an important trip next month and needed my perm refreshed. So i called around and decided to try Kreative Looks. I really wanted to like this salon. The stylist was fun and great to work with but shouldn’t be giving perms. I should have been suspect when she didn’t do the perm the same way. Didn’t saturate my hair as much didn’t put that plastic cap over the rods. 15 minutes instead of the 20. Thinking back maybe she was nervous about the fact I have such fine hair? Anyway my hair came out awful!! Frizzy barely waves. No curls at all. Flat. And my hair has this brassy color Not the beautiful head of curls I usually have. The cut was pretty bad too. I called after trying to live with it for a week and really had to fight back tears. I spoke with a manager who was very rude and acted like it was my hair that was the problem. I was nice when i called but her rudeness made me even more upset. Even though I offered them a chance to fix it the owner gave me a refund. No apology no anything. Told me to go somewhere else to fix it. I am currently begging my old stylist to try to fit me in..she isn’t sure she can even fix it. I am giving two stars because if you need a simple haircut or maybe a blowout this place is probably fine. It’s clean and nice. But anything more advanced I’d stay away.

I was so excited to finally get my hair done again at Kreative looks. I had gotten my hair cut once there before and loved it. A year later I drove an hour and a half back to get a similar haircut, and a simple balayage. I had virgin brown hair and wanted subtle lighter balayage with the hopes to eventually go slightly lighter with a balayage but not all at once due to fear of damaging my hair. I was so upset with how my hair turned out. It had banding all around, the back was lifted to a silver color, and the pieces around my face were a very dark yellow. There was no blending at all throughout. I asked my stylist to take a picture of the back for me, and it was not similar at all to the pictures I had showed. $330 later, I had broken hair that was damaged. I had to find another salon to fix my hair for me, and they charged a fraction of the price. My layers in the back were uneven which I was not aware of until I got my hair fixed by a new stylist from another salon. I called the salon the next day and explained how I wasn’t just unhappy with the color of my hair, but it was not even and not worth the money I paid. The only thing the salon offered was to tone my hair in about a month. Very dissatisfied and disappointed that I had this experience here.

I was excited to see what this salon was like after walking it by it to get to the gym! I went in for a strawberry blonde, being a natural dirty blonde I didn’t think it would be too difficult. First go round, my hair came out to an orange color, which looked great. It just wasn’t what I was going for. All the girls were hyping up the color change and I went ahead and decided to try it out. After deciding it wasn’t for me, they were quick to respond with setting me up for a second appointment to correct it (at no cost to me).

I came here after booking my appointment 3 months in advance. Why? Because I had only two days to get my cut done between plans. I’ve tried booking same day or a few days in advance before and I didn’t want the stress. When I got there a few minutes early I was told that I should have received a call saying my appointment was cancelled. This already was disappointing since I booked so far in advance for a reason. She said if I waited 20 min I could get in. I called a few places but couldn’t get an appointment so I stayed. She literally brushed my hair, sprayed a little water on it and cut it dry. She didn’t shampoo or add any product and then blow dried it. Not only did I miss out on that basic aspect of the hair process but she didn’t put in a heat protectant and just dried it quickly not styled. Thank God I had time before my plans to do it myself. This was an experimental visit so I won’t rebook and will be looking further into Raleigh in the future. Cut was sub-par as well. Would not recommend.

Best atmosphere and stylist around! These girls know what they are doing and their knowledge and love for hair does not go unnoticed. Received a call to work at this salon and I couldn’t turn it down. I feel as if this was the best decision for my career! These girls are definitely turning into family!

I’ve had a wonderful experience every time I walk into Kreative Looks, the staff is super nice and they always make sure I leave happy with my hair. Prices are fair and not insanely expensive like some hairstylists I’ve seen, I come back every month to get my hair done here and plan to continue as long as I live in Clayton. Update: I called to get it fixed. They put me with a new stylist and she did amazing. Informed me on how to maintain my look and made sure I walked out happy.
