I called here inquiring about micro braids for my 13 year old daughter. After telling them exactly what we wanted, they told me to head that way and they could take care of us that day. After driving 20 minutes we arrive at Kourouma African Hair Braiding. We were greated by a the shorter woman. We were talking again about what we wanted to do with her hair, this being the second time. I guess after her seeing that I was white and my daugher was mixed maybe she assumed we knew nothing about braids. She starts to get an attiude saying that she’s not doing micro braids on her hair. I was very confused so I asked, “you can’t, or won’t.” Her response was, “you don’t even know what a micro braid is, go over there and show me what a micro braid is.” I walk to the area where they keep a display of braids they offer. We look through to make sure we didn’t want something else they offered. After deiciding to stick with the original plan, Micro braids. We pick out the thickest micro braid offered. I hope she felt like a ragged doll after that. She started to walk away mumbling saying, ” im not doing mico braids on her hair.” I looked at her and said I wouldn’t let you touch my daughters hair now if you paid me. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here for your first set of braids. This partiular lady was rude and defintally not child friendly. I don’t see this business staying open for much longer. There are so many other businesses open, that are nice and will give you what you want, seeing that you are paying the bill not her.
