This place preys on tourists knowing they wont be able to come back. To start this place is extremely pricey for what you get. I paid $15 for my lotus henna and after 1 week and a day it has already faded. I followed all the after care instructions she gave and it hardly lasted. Ive had henna from a traditional henna place and not only we’re they cheaper but it lasted. I cant believe they charged my sister $40 for her hand henna, i once got the same thing for less then $20 at a traditional henna place. Although i cant go back cause i was visiting, i hope to warn the next tourists to not get trapped and ripped off.

amazing experience! the henna was done super quickly (3 moderately complicated designs took less than an hour). when i called, they were very helpful in telling me an aproximate price of the design that i wanted. at the studio, everyone was kind and helpful. the prices were unbeatable! best henna experience

We love visiting Kona Henna Studio!!! We had Robin do our kids henna tattoos twice now and both times she was amazing!!! She really listens to the kids and makes them feel special. She is patient, kind, talented and has a big heart. The tattoos look awesome!!! Thank you!!!!

I get my tattoo here and I love it. The girl is really an Artis and such a beautiful soul. They have a lot of different beautiful design to tattoo and they can make your own design too. I get booth, one of they design and them I give some ideas I she make other design for me. Also you can buy more Henna I case you wanna try make other tattoos by yourself or just for make your tattoo stay visible for more time and also buy a top tan.

I called to ask a few questions about certain tattoos and prices. Unfortunately, I wasn’t told that I needed an appointment, before walking over there in the horrendous heat. I’ve only gotten henna tattoos in Mexico, which never required an appointment, so it didn’t occur to me that I would need an appointment. Wish I had been told on the phone. It’s my last day in Kona, so I won’t have time to get one. Maybe next trip!

I have been several to Kona Henna Studio over the past six years. Maria is awesome and I often go in and say “just add some swirly lines here” and I come out with beautiful work that lasts up to a week. It is important that your skin is warm to begin with so the henna adheres. I have also gone in and seen Robin and she adds a lotus to my ankle every once in a while.

Since coming to the Island ive gotten it into my head to get a tattoo. I was walking around when i came across this place. Walked in and started looking at some of the work. Robin was finishing up with some customers but still noticed and acknowledged me and guided me to the books which was great. Found the one i wanted and we spent a good 20 minutes talking about my options and what im looking for. Before I get a permanent tattoo i want to see what it would look like. She made me feel very comfortable and i look forward to going next week to get my work done.
