So happy to have found this salon! I’ve tried several other places for a curly cut and no one has quite nailed it. I booked my appt with Liz, she really heard me out when I explained what I would like and she jumped in without hesitation and I got exactly what I wanted! Layers and more volume, I Love my new cut! I found this salon because it had such great reviews for curly haircuts and I had my appointment yesterday. When I came in I told my stylist that I didn’t want a lot cut off the bottom and I wanted her to preserve the length as much as she could. I couldn’t see what she was doing because she cut it all behind me and once she finished i realized she must’ve cut at least 4 inches off the bottom. Also, it’s completely uneven and one side is longer than the other. I thought I might feel differently when I woke up the next morning but I still hate it and now it’s going to take months or maybe a year for it to go back to the length it was.

So, I know I have very difficult hair to work with so I decided to try knockout as they supposedly specialize in curly hair. Well, needless to say I called and went there in person to verify they could handle my hair with repeated assurances that they could and that is their specialty. So, I end up with a very inexperienced stylist and a poor cut. The only thing I like is the back which I can’t even see, the front is choppy, and overall a poor cut. I know it’s a lack of experience but I feel that for half the price I could go elsewhere and get the same poor cut because that’s what I have been doing. I give them 3 stars because overall very clean and friendly but same Quality cut as everyone else( maybe a different stylist would be better). If I decide to try them again it will for sure be with a different stylist with fingers crossed that someone on the planet knows how to cut hair like mine cause I have yet to find them.

I was extremely nervous to get a layered haircut at a new salon with a new stylist since I have been going to another place for years. My hair is extremely long and thick so it was a tall order for somebody lol. They selected Chaiyse to do the job. She layered my hair exactly as I wanted. It was difficult but she was patient, took her time, and put forth all of her effort. She did an excellent job AND we connected really well. I really enjoyed talking with her. She is an empowered youth with wisdom beyond her years. You don’t find very many logical thinkers today so she was a breath of fresh air. Thanks Chaiyse! God bless all of your labors!
