My experience at Kleanslate was perfection! I am a newbie to the wax life and let me tell you I’m for sure making this beauty self care service a monthly must. I was nervous about pain but overall it wasn’t bad. Ketra made me feel comfortable and I laughed the whole time from my reactions haha. Hair removal was smooth and totally worth it. My friends have been doing it for years. I was slow to take the plunge I saw the 5 star reviews for Klean slate, did some further research and discovered her inspiring story. So I thought to myself, a beautiful sister with a new business and five star reviews? Why not? I booked around 2pm for a 6pm slot. Attempting to do my due diligence, I went to reddit and searched “first Brazilian wax tips”…….what a mistake. I wanted to cancel the whole thing. My nerves were shot. I started breathing heavy. But alas, it was too late. Before I knew it, it was 5pm. I showered, took two advils, a shot of tequila and prayed. I was shook yall. I wore a dress to the appointment (a great decision).Ketra was friendly and warm from the start. I told her it was my first time and that I was sweating like crazy. She told me no worries and assured me that she’d seen it all lol. She was quick and she talked to me the entire time. That helped to keep me distracted. It hurt….but not the pain I thought I’d feel. The worst was really right around the clitoris (sorry if that’s tmi lol). At one point I reached out and squeezed her somewhere around the hip area (which was real soft by the way) .. she wasn’t offended at all. I was trying to resist the urge to grab her hand so the hip got the squeeze lol. She was super nice and accommodating. She gave me great tips for after care. I’ll definitely be back. What an experience lol. But I’m so glad I did it, and I was glad I came to her. I didn’t even hurt after. Okay everyone,sit down and relax. This is going to be a thorough review. So this was my very first time getting waxed. My friends have been doing it for years. I was slow to take the plunge I saw the 5 star reviews for Klean slate, did some further research and discovered her inspiring story.
