I took my daughter to this salon for a hair appointment with Bambii. Originally had an appointment at 10:00 and then she unexpectedly changed the appointment to 10:30, that was red flag number 1. Number 2, she then said she could get another stylist to do my daughters hair. What makes you think I want someone else to do my daughters hair and I haven’t seen their work? We drove an hour plus to get to the salon only to find out that she wasn’t feeling well. Common courtesy is to let a person know before they get in the car to drive to the hair appointment that you weren’t feeling well when you woke up. Very selfish and unprofessional on your part to be this inconsiderate. At least communicate ahead of time and let the client know there’s a chance you won’t be able to do hair at the scheduled appointment time and provide options. Do not recommend.

A skilled team of individuals who unfortunately lack professionalism and any sort of customer service skills. Extremely rude to customers out of 3 times my stylist was 2+hrs late to my appointment and charged me much higher than the listed price. The 4th time never showed after I drove from south OC a total 4+ hrs in driving. She never gave me back my deposit and never contacted me.. I’ve been here a total of four times. A skilled team of individuals who unfortunately lack professionalism and any sort of customer service skills. Extremely rude to customers out of 3 times my stylist was 2+hrs late to my appointment and charged me much higher than the listed price. My experience was more than wonderful. Everyone was friendly, very knowledgeable and down to earth. The quality of hair is really good and I get so many compliments on the hair and styling. Christina was the one who did my hair and she is a perfectionist and very professional. Thank you Kiss My Kurves!

I waited two hours to get my hair done and I had an appointment. Then I got crochet braids. I rarely get braids and was taken advantage of because I didn’t appreciate Marlisha lateness. I walked out looking like mufasa. I found out she used too many packs of hair. Forced hair in, my head was hurting. She did it on purpose. I will not be going back.

Took my hair out the SAME DAY!! The Kiss My Kurves Beauty Bar has a lot of potential and the interior of this establishment suggests high fashion and professionalism. Unfortunately my experience was less than I expected. I didn’t feel welcomed when I walked into the salon and it was nearly empty – It was Saturday afternoon- which made me nervous. I wanted to get my hair braided in a simple style, two feed in braids with a side part. The beautician proceeded to style my hair WITHOUT washing my hair and looked shocked when I asked for my hair to be washed! I have natural hair and she kept ripping my hair with the comb during the condition and the blow drying. Speaking of the blow-dry my ends were frayed and hours later, my ends were poking through the braids THE SAME DAY. The feed in braids were not gradual at ALL and the style was simply lopsided. I ended up taking the hair out THAT NIGHT! There was no way I was going to walk out the house like that. Another thing is that this business does not have a credit/debit POS (point of sale) system that allows customers to use a card and tip with cash nor do they even have an ATM.

Amber has a policy where you have to pay a portion of your services to lock your appointment. Cool, I don’t mind and as a licensed cosmetologist myself, I understand that deposits are needed for better scheduling for everyone. I ask Amber would she prefer I pay in full, she says that’s fine and that’s when I send over my full payment.Fast forward 30 days and it’s now June, 23rd. 3 hours before my appointment , Amber text’s me and asks me to come another time because her cousin is in town to visit (Okay…but you have work so I don’t understand why her cousin can’t wait?). She begs and pleads and she asks if I can come on Saturday instead at 2pm. I don’t really have a choice so I agree.Saturday, 25th is here and I’ve arrived at the salon.2:05 comes and she’s not here, 2:10 comes and she’s not here. I’m calling Amber and it’s going to voicemail and I’m texting her with no responses. I decide to call the owner Felicia (I’m not too for sure if that’s her name or not). I’m very angry at this point and I’m explaining to the owner that I was rescheduled for the sake of hang outs, I’ve been waiting for 30 mins for my now new appointment and I haven’t heard from her, etc etc. She tells me she will call me back.Amber then FINALLY gets ahold of me and tells me she won’t be able to arrive at the salon until 5pm because she’s stuck in traffic. She then asks me “did you call my boss?”I told her, of course I did. You rescheduled me once for the sake of hanging out, you can’t even show up on a new appointment time that YOU gave to me, and NOW you’re saying it’s going to have to be an additional 3 hour wait!? I live an hour away! If I can show up on time and schedule for you, you should do the same for your clients. She then tells me she doesn’t like being talked to like a child (go figure) and she doesn’t like my “energy” so she won’t be servicing me at all and hangs up. The boss ends up texting me, and refunds me her self.This place is a joke, from the owner to the staff. We’re not going to discuss how the other stylists working were wearing pajama pants, and another one wearing club wear with her Panties flowing over to make sure they are more than noticed.This is the stereotype of black owned businesses that unfortunately people believe in.
