Critical: Professionalism, ValueMy girlfriend came here on 9-17-2021 to get a balayage. The stylist Sufi did a hairjob that my 3 year old niece could have done. She paid $300 for the service and $50 in tip for this terrible “professional hair job” and when she asked if they could fix it they made her pay another $100 to fix the terrible job Sufi did. What type of company makes you pay to fix a problem they caused? So in the end she was forced to pay $400 to get her hair changed from black to brown. I could have done a better job than Sufi. I recently got my hair cut for the first time here and Jenny did an excellent job! I’m very particular about my hair, because it’s pin straight and not very forgiving when it’s cut poorly. I showed her a picture of what my hair looked like a few years ago, with some additional requests, and she delivered exactly what I wanted (even though it involved taking about 5″ off) and it looks so good. Price point was also spot on for what I needed, as a graduate student. Pleased to say that I’ve finally found my “go-to” salon!

This place will schedule you, call you and tell you to come early for your appointment, then say someone had a “complication” with the haircut and cancel your appointment. Avoid for unreliability. Can’t say anything about the service either. The receptionist insisted they’d tried to call me, but that never happened.

I love Kindle & Boom. My long-time hairstylist Janie is never judgmental, even when it has been a while since I’ve been in and my hair could be best described as “non-televised sister-wife.” (I have used another stylist there when Janie wasn’t available and she was lovely and very talented, too.) Janie also has helped me to figure out a style of bangs that works for me, which I greatly appreciate.

I received the worst haircut of my life here today. In 10 short minutes, my hair which I’ve grown out for a year now was reduced to an absolute mess. It happened so fast. The shampoo took longer than the cut. I paid a $20 tip and I left maybe because i hate confrontation or was too angry to speak intelligently. I was in shock for a while. Now I’m just sad that my long wavy hair has been reduced to an ugly mushroom. I’ve never experienced a lazier more uneven haircut. Didn’t bother to even touch up my sideburns. And according to her the middle of the back of my hair is SUPPOSED to be higher than the rest, like a reverse mullet(?) What a joke

I have tried a couple hairdressers since moving to Maryland but hadn’t found a good fit yet so I was nervous to cut my hair short for the first time with a stranger. It all turned out perfect, though, she spent a long time getting it absolutely perfect and I couldn’t be happier with my cut. The worst haircut I have ever received. Put my hair up and buzzed the sides completely way to short and not to my specifications. I was too shocked to say anything and paid $50 for the worst haircut ever.
