Positive: ValueGood nice skin fades with actual razor finish, but if your looking for a precise line-up don’t have high expectations. Mrs. Kim is also a bit of a cold person she doesn’t greet me in particular nor does she acknowledge anything I say even if it’s a greeting only asks how I want my haircut. She also doesn’t cover me completely with the barber over cape so I slide it over myself to not get any hairs that she cuts. At the end when she shows me the finished haircut with the hand mirror, when I softly go to grab it myself she holds it firmly and doesn’t let me inspect my haircut with it when normally barbers let you take it and see for yourself if the haircut was done right. This is my last time going because quite frankly she is very rude. Great value yes, good simple haircut yes, but great customer service I really have to give it a rating of 1 1/2. Good nice skin fades with actual razor finish, but if your looking for a precise line-up don’t have high expectations. Mrs. Kim is also a bit of a cold person she doesn’t greet me in particular nor does she acknowledge anything I say even if it’s a greeting only asks how I want my haircut. I tried Supercuts by HEB+ last week–three barbers in there, two with no customers, and still I waited while they messed around, so I left. Then I went to Estilos over on Illinois Ave, had an appointment, dude wasn’t even there, and there was a kid waiting in front of me, so I left. I pass Kim’s on my way home every day, so I decided to stop in on a whim today. I had no appointment, I waited only about six or seven minutes, and I barely had to explain what I wanted, she got it right away. super clean hair cut, and I have really curly hair. Somehow she made it look reasonable, which is a real challenge, I can’t remember the last time my hair looked decent. she also straight-razor shaved the back neck area, warm towel, extremely light hands. I don’t know what kind of electric clippers she uses but they are quick, gentle, and seem to be super sharp, and they blow a little cool air as they go. there are also lots of plants to look at, reasonable seating, and a tv to watch the weather and the news if one is so inclined. I don’t know if the place is cash only, but there is an atm machine inside. The haircut was $14 and I tipped $6. I will be returning and will make this place my regular barber. First time there. I tried Supercuts by HEB+ last week–three barbers in there, two with no customers, and still I waited while they messed around, so I left. Then I went to Estilos over on Illinois Ave, had an appointment, dude wasn’t even there, and there was a kid waiting in front of me, so I left.
