Kia has such a sweet spirit (so does her assistant Egypt). I had come to her years ago, however, ended up moving and coming back. My stylist of many years recently retired, and I am trying to move forward. Kia Nicol and Egypt (her assistant) were very professional and easy going. We didn’t talk much about my hair, but I paid close attention to how they both handled me. I made mention of my allergies, and they both jumped in to try to understand. Egypt did not pull and tug on my hair, which is my biggest pet peeve. She was very gentle each and every step. I gave a four star instead of a five due to a reason that I would prefer to discuss directly with Kia Nicol. I will book again…. So far, so good.

My teenage daughter setup an appointment, for a hair coloring. She paid 80$ deposit. Before her actual appointment date my daughter had been texting her. My children has been raised to be respectful to any and everyone. My daughter would start her message with good morning, hello, and this professional adult didn’t return a kind word. She is very rude and unprofessional. Now the day of my daughter’s appointment she contacted her asking if she could be a little late. She was told be there at 3:15. I was actually there at the time but my GPS directed me in another area but we were on the phone with the whole with her trying to direct us. So anyway, we get there get inside NO hello. I had to say something. Second she looked at my daughter hair started explaining the color of my daughter hair. She sent her the photo of her hair. So if she wasn’t sure of the color which was red. Instead of going on about how it’s going to take more time blah blah. A professional would have setup an consultation. The whole time we’re there she has a nasty disposition about herself. So lastly she ends up saying well she can get a wash blowout something to those terms. So my daughter said No she doesn’t want that and can she have her deposit back. She says and I quote that’s not a problem I don’t try and keep any ones monies. Then she says technically she was late. Now like I said we were there and she knew it. I have voice recordings on my phone. Now on her site it says she could get back 50% of her deposit. Which she did not want to give. I didn’t make a fuss because I literally spend that on ordering food for her. I did say she could keep it as of gift. Because I’m not going to go back and forth over money. I felt maybe she needed it or she didn’t have the 80$ to give back. The problem I have is my daughter work and she paid that money from her savings so she wanted it back even after I told my daughter I would give it to her. If anyone know me I’m very positive and the nicest person. But when it comes to someone trying to railroad my child and was nothing but rude to her. It changes something inside of me. I’m not writing this review for people not to go to her because I’m not going to bash her talents as a hairstylist because I don’t know anything about that. As a professional business person she suppose to have people skills that alone would take you far. So I pray that she uses this review as a lesson to grow and be a better human being. If something was going on with her she surely gave us the bad side of her.

Kia is amazing and she’s a very sweet kind person, and she did an amazing job on my hair and also the lady who washed my hair. They both was very gentle with my extreme thick hair and took their time with my hair and I’m so thankful for that because my kind of hair can be a challenge to do. Alot of people don’t care about nothing but money only But not Kia she really loves what she does and it shows through her work and I’m a witness and I’m definitely going to be back and if I could give this 5 more stars I would and every penny I spent it was well worth it. I’m a very very happy customer.
