I requested medium knotless braids. My parts were jumbo and uneven. Lady piled my hair with gel, snagged my hair with every part, and was extremely rough when combing my hair. Also, while I got my hair braided, other clients came in and I swear none of them other clients hair looked professionally done. First and last time going! Back to Brooklyn I go!

This was my first time coming here. The owner is very nice. The prices are good too. Some of the hairstylists went on vacation so there aren’t many people right now. I saw a costumer come after many people but she wanted to be taken first the owner refused and the customer started yelling and cursing at the ladies so beware of some reviews. Overall good service. STAY AWAY !!!!! The owner is the worst, she’s rude and nasty – they charge you base on how you look and keep you waiting forever. All she does is talk bad about customers in french. They don’t have any set prices for anything, they overcharge you if they think you have money. The first time I went there, the owner charged me $20 for 3 packs of braiding hair, after trying to short change me on how much hair the lady who did my hair used. They lie about the wait time so you don’t go to another salon. I’m usually pretty quiet and keep to myself when I go there and just try to get my hair done. Today while waiting, one of the customers got impatient and asked me if I knew of any other salons around the area, I pointed her to a few that I’m familiar with. The owner started bashing me in french to the other workers, I answered her right back and informed her I was having a private conversation and answering a question i was asked. She told me it wasn’t my place to tell people where to go and asked me to leave her salon. I gladly obliged and will never go back. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, its filthy, there’s flies everywhere, the owner is rude as hell and the braiders are slow. If you’re looking for quality african hair braiding, go to Sidibe African Hair Braiding that’s just around the corner at 1819 Mott Ave. The owner is the sweetest, the place is clean and she’s really good.
