Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI made an appointment the day before for 9:30am and was told that I could come the next day at that time & that’s exactly what I did. I called her the night before to confirm & make sure that she still wanted me there at 9:30am. I get there at 9:20 and tried to open the door but it would not open. I called and she did not answer. I called again and she finally answered saying they were running behind. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I understand how I can be with braiding hair & you get done late the day before and wake up late the next day. I waited on her for about 45 minutes and my mom decided to call them. She told my momma that they had been at the shop for a while now and I hadn’t showed up like it was my fault when I even texted her and told her to let me know when they arrived but she did not do that! I got out the car again to go in & apparently I was at the wrong door and she told me to go around but she didn’t tell me that on the phone. As I went in no one greeted and I had to say my name & that I had an appointment at 9:30. At this time it was about 10:15. A girl comes from the back saying oh yea your mom just called and I’m like yeaaaa thinking she is about to start on my head she goes and starts on someone’s box braids. JUST STARTING.. so I waited about 20 minutes and finally asked if she needed me to come another time. She told me her mom was coming soon so I could wait or just leave my number and they would call me back, I told her I would wait if her mom was on her way. About 20 minutes pass after she told me that and her mom arrived. Her mom was nice enough to speak but the ton of her voice was not welcoming at all!!! There was a girl in front of me with an Afro & she made her get up and part her own hair in four parts, when that is supposed to come with there service. The girl went to a little station and tried parting her own hair & she goes up to the girl telling her how dry her hair was. After seeing that I knew it was time for me to GOOOO! I just told them I’d come a different day & the mom got rude as I left out when she asked me if I was leaving….if I could give them 0 starts I would, I didn’t believe the negative comments prior to my appointment because I know some people are hard to satisfy and can be petty but when I say this was the worse experience EVER! It was!!! & mind ya’ll I drove a hour and 20 minutes at 7:30am to come here just to have that type of service. I do not recommend!!!! Another African braiding place here in Memphis was nice enough to take me and service is great. I’m currently enjoying getting my hair done here while typing this.
