Keyla and her staff were able to accomplish the very thing I wanted when I brought a picture. I was also able to get in on short notice for box braids as well. They have done my hair twice and each time the style lasted over a month. Updos, Hairstyling, Braids

Customer service was horrible. Braids was so tight, I started getting bumps in my head a few days later, I took the braids out literally a week later, a complete waste of money, the lady doing my hair was very nasty, terrible attitude, you can tell she didn’t want to do my hair and was making fun of my hair with her other co worker, never went back there again, would NOT RECOMMEND.

Came to Keyla’s Hair Braiding for the first time and had a particular style in mind for my hair and she executed just THAT. My box braids are so neat, precise and beautiful. I had an event to go to the same day and I received a ton of compliments on how gorgeous my hair looked. Keyla was also a complete sweetheart, extremely patient and didn’t let me leave until I was completely satisfied with my look. Def trusting her with my hair moving forward. 5 out of 5 stars all the way

Braids are great however customer service is horrible. I arrived at 11:30am for two feed in braids and didn’t leave until 2:30pm (she was finishing up on corn rows for one customer when I arrived and I was the only one waiting…). When it was my turn, she immediately began complaining about the thickness of my hair, nodding her head, I guess expressing how annoyed she was. The lady who was helping her was ripping through my hair while detangling and I had to take over… After one hour of attending a different customer she got to me and then stated that she couldn’t do two feed in braids on my hair cuz it was too thick….so she waited about 2 hours to tell me this…..Anyways, I expressed how I’ve got it done multiple times and then she began doing it. Overall, this was the worst place I’ve been to in terms of customer service. It’s really upsetting that I went out of my way to support black owned business and she had the audacity to complain about my hair! I’ve gone to Mimis Braids in Clifton (not black owned) and NOT ONCE have they ever complained about my hair thickness.

I was a little skeptical at first since I didn’t see any pictures of the work posted up but the owner did a great job! Everyone was also very sweet & welcoming. I walked in because I was in the area. I had wait for a Friend so I decided to braid my hair. She braid my hair so tight that I couldn’t bend my head. I kept telling her it’s too tight but she continued to do whatever she wants. She didn’t care. She was rough with my natural hair, comb from the root to the end without any hair knowledge. I won’t recommend.

Keyla is a great braider! BUT I have brought her a lot of customers and she doesn’t believe in discounts. Not saying I’m entitled to one but it would be nice to show some client appreciation. Braids are not cheap and sometimes when I get my hair done she has her kids running around which makes it’s hard for her to complete the job sooner. So for me it’s not worth bringing her more clients and having to deal with high prices and children. If it’s all about the money leave the babies with a sitter outside of the shop.

The hair salon is amazing , nice peaceful environment. Hair was done within 2 hours (tribal braids – middle part ) , this is my third time hair & I would recommend it to anyone . Box Braids
